Kristen Parker - Pulling other people (and animals, noted by Kincaid's dog Jason) in and out dreams and gymnastic like agility. Joey Crusel - Super sonic scream Roland Kincaid - Super human strength. Will Stanton - Can walk in his dreams and has magical abilities based off his favorite Tabletop RPG, The Wizard Master. Taryn White - Enhanced confidence, beauty, and toughness also expert at using switchblades, and her clothes change into 80 punk rocker. Alice Johnson - Alice was the Dream Master, or the guardian of the positive gate, the gateway to good dreams. And as such, she had the power (and responsibility) to guard the sleeper whilst they dreamed. And as such, Alice had the unique ability to absorb the dream powers of Freddy's most recent victims.She also absorb kristen powers pulling people into dreams, and gymnastics like agility , rick powers of karate mastery and sheila power of technology and Debbie toughness. They should make a final "Nightmare on Elm Street" one-A movie (the actual franchise is over anyway) where the Slasher trope is subverted and the good guys (an ensemble) actually reach a major victory and blast Freddy into oblivion without anyone else dying. ;)
Probably because Rare was an independent studio that needed money. A lot of licensed games come from that angle - you're a small studio, get approached by a publisher who'll pay you for a quick license game, and you do it.

The Nightmare on Elm Street movies are scary on a whole level man. I don't even remember a scene where four grade school children ran around punching spiders, but it's because I repress it.
FourScore's a hell of an accessory, and only a handful of games supported it, mostly sports games or other purely competitive things. i think this is the only platformer that uses it?
This game really isn't as bad as people say it is. Being sort of generic is about its greatest sin, but for the glut of licensed titles on the NES, this is one of the better ones. Also it was developed by Rare, which has to be worth something.

I still remember a dream I had after renting this game from Major Video. My brother and myself had bunk beds and a Fraggle Rock poster in our old room and in my dream my great grandfather who we called Grampa Whiskers did a backflip over our bunk beds, but it was just a shadow shape that my brain interpreted as him. Only time in my life that I was paralyzed with fear. I tried to scream Mom!but nothing would come out. And it was because we were playing scary games way to young.

This was fun to watch the players navigate the game with perfection. This game was so hard
it was brutal, its like the shtick was you really want 2-4 players otherwise you're in for hell
I forgot how good the music is on this game.
Also, this was one of the most entertaining TAS that I've seen in a while when it comes to general player movement.
I love how they just merge together into a hideous deathball to take care of bosses

this game supports simultaneous 4 player? dadgum, don't see many NES games that support that. Heck, it's uncommon to see any game support that.
You needed a special adapter to even plug-in more than 2 controllers, so that's why.

It's a tool assisted speedrun, there are no real 4 people that are playing this game. It's just predetermined input on 4 emulated controllers.
