The two posts I think you hit the nail on the head! From the taper/ counter sink bottoms, they seem like they were made for fitting down into the burner hole on an old wood burning stove to create a better humid climate in the home, and not so dry. My Grandmother used to cook on a wood burning stove at the farm when we were kids. I was told you have to be a great cook, to time all of the dishes for 1 meal to get them to be cooked at the same time, For each burner is close to the same temperature! Ha!
I don’t know a lot about cast iron but I can tell the first small skillet is a BSR by the ridged handle and unbroken heat ring that bsr is known for. The Good Health (1920’s-30’s) is made by Griswold mfg co. and sold to department stores to sell as their house brand. Not highly collectible but a quality Griswold non the less.
1st pan bsr-Birmingham Stove & Range YES a smelting pot, Goodheath is your money shot, pot dont come with tops its a gatemark 1800s-early 19s,,, crack pot, taiwan or china, lots & lots of jewels.
