I think the diamond with the number in it is a Chicago Hardware & Foundry skillet. Chicago Hardware Foundry Co. operated from 1897 - 1938. The foundry was destroyed during a labor riot, and not much is known after that. That collection was amazing, most of us are lucky to own 1 or 2 waffle irons.
Awesome pick! Great prices he gave you. Whatever you do, please please do not ever clean that cast iron with a bead blaster like he suggested. Never use power tools to clean it. I just subscribed to your channel. Enjoy you talking and saying what all the bottles are worth.

I know this is an older video just found your channel love it gave you a like and subscribe, my grandma, and mother had a lot of this now they are mine . I believe I’ve got 47 pieces all together and my wife and me cook on a lot of it want nothing stick to it . I remember my grandma used to get me and my brother go cut white oak and it had to be white oak . We would build a big fire and put what she wanted in there it just blew our minds how clean and smooth it would make it . We still find ourselves looking for it at every yard sale flea market. Great video brother be safe
A great place to find cast iron is your local scrap iron place just found a 10" chicken fryer, a 10 " regular skillet and another 10" skillet plus a lid that will fit either of the skillets. I paid .30 cents per pound and it only cost me 6.00 dollars for all. Happy hunting.
Awesome video and thanks for sharing. Very informative. That silver dollar pancake skillet is known as an Ableskiver pan that the Swedes make a specialty pancake in. My sister bought me one at a flea market for $1 and I didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't want it. It seasoned up nice. No name on it. Those silver dollar pancakes pancakes were good but awfully labor intensive to make. I saw the same pan at a flea market with price tag of $45, same unmarked pan as mine. I also have a large griddle like one in the video with Griswold on it that had the underside edge that isn't uniformly rounded. My pan has no name or has been erased by sulfur pitting. Has 10 on the bottom of the handle. I'm thinking maybe had Griswold back before the sulfur from the coal corroded it off. Who cares? Still makes good big pancakes. Thanks again for great video.
Another great video.... Serious collection and you did well to get so much from him lol I have a friend who does cast iron and he strips em clean in a lye bath then rinses them and submerges them in vinegar and scrubs with a scotch brite pad then he seasons them with crisco in the oven... He sells alot just because its ready to cook ... I tried to convince him to season it 3 times and he laughed at me🙂 Thanks for sharing
Tell the guy I here to buy because you resealing! So I ain’t paying retail! You getting everything hero! You need to put some of these pots and pans in a cabin in the woods!
You mean you don’t have a complete set of grezwald cast iron? That’s definitely a log cabin stuff! Along with those cool lights you bought! I I like antique stuff for a cabin!
Great 👍 video, I'm watching hoping to find information about an unmarked woks that I found in my garden. I think it's a Lodge. Also do you know about a star 🌟 marks on a lid.
i would love to find two of the mail boxes with the birds on them.. Griswold are so cool and i have a place for them in my house that i would like to display them if i could get two of them.. Can you tell me what a fair price would be for them.. i love cast iron stuff too .I do have some fry pans that i use all the time .. I will be heading to Florida in a week or so and i will be looking for one or two if i can fine them.. Thank you for a great video i have learned a lot from watching them .. I am from Pa
You need to use those on a iron stove or a gas stove ! Electric stoves suck! I learned a lot on this video! Thanks! My mom probably wants that cornbread pan because she’s not doing to good anymore making cornbread anymore!
I just googled Patty Bowl and found this: "Patty bowls were used with Patty Molds. Patty molds were made to make (from batter) a cupped or hollowed out pattern that once complete was filled to create deserts with a crispy exterior shell. Have you every had a taco salad in a shaped/fried taco shell? That kind of the picture but much smaller in size. There were cup shaped molds/irons and "rossette" shaped molds/patterns. If you have been in old houses and looked at the top and left corners of the door molding you might understand rossette in this sense and have good mental picture. The cup type molds were typically filled the rossette type mold created shells that were pretty much just powdered else covered with the dessert."
When do you come to Pickens, I have a hammered chicken fryer that has a star on the lid and I have no idea who made it.Any information would be greatly appreciated.
This is the one i have but there are different ones --The Book of Griswold & Wagner: Favorite Pique, Sidney Hollow Ware, Wapak: With Revised Price Guide ---
Dear sir, my name is April and I need to know how can I get a hold of you? My husband found your site and I have to say that I LOVE the roaster you have!! Is it still for sale, and if so, how much?? Do you have an email address I can contact you through? I am also a GA resident and enjoyed your RUclips site. Thank you.
Trivia! What is the name of the hole in the handle of a cast iron skillet? An old southern man, from Alabama, told me what his family called it. Let me hear from you all for a bit before I tell you what he told me. It’s a word I’ve never heard of and don’t know why it was used. LOL
I have a huge cast iron that I use for making extra large size tortillas... it has a wooden handle I bought it new up at Farmers Market 3rd and Fairfax, I use it constantly... and a few other pieces I pretty much only cook in cast iron these days oh, I have a 500 lb Dynasty stove .... It's just short of needing fire suppression equipment... it's about 35 years old, had a hard time finding igniters when they went...LAXVESPA-LOSANGELES
It's not sad. They're being protected and preserved. That's not "wasted". Think of all the neglected cast iron pieces that have rusted away in people's dark, damp basements and are now trash. THAT is sad. Think of all the old cast iron pots that young hipsters are using for flower pots and are rusting away outside. If anything, you should be happy that people like this guy exist to preserve this history.
I believe this was one of the best videos I have ever seen on cast iron
Thanks
Great Haul! Good contact for you!
Thanks
The collector should have a museum for his cast iron and charge admission to the public to see such a fantastic collection .
Yes it is nice thanks
What a fantastic collection .

Guy just wanted to get rid of his 25 cent pieces and sell them to you for big money. What a creep he is.
It's sad all those pieces are going to waste, and not being used. It's a shame tbh.
