  • @hankabsher6028
    @hankabsher6028 8 месяцев назад

    For the front did you have any issues with the angle of the axle shafts? I did a 6 on mine and it destroyed one side axle joint but not the other.

  • @brandonvedella6661
    @brandonvedella6661 2 года назад +4

    I did that with my 2015 but did 3 inch leveling kit on my 6 inch struts and my front differential snapped. Had to get a new one and welded bump stops on frame
    Be careful

      Mine just did the same thing stock axles were binding too much and cracked diff housing. I got the trakmotive axles now and removed spacers. Rode like shit with spacers on top

    So you have a 6” lift and then added a 2” spacer. Is the spacer actually 2” thick or are they like 1.25? I have a 6” rough country and I want to order the 3” kit to put on top, it’s a true 2” lift so I’ll technically be at 9” overall

    • @jarooodbarna2547
      @jarooodbarna2547 Год назад

      I have seen another guy put a 4” lift on top of the 6” lift block and he hasn’t had any problems so far

    • @AustinFredericks
      @AustinFredericks  Год назад

      It’s a true 2” I wouldn’t recommend going much over that because it stresses all your front end parts pretty bad and the angles of the control arms and cv axles are bad, I’ve gone through 2 cv axles already.

    • @ThatLiftedLaramie
      @ThatLiftedLaramie Год назад

      Dude yea I just put a 2.5” level on top of the 6”struts and guess what I’m doing tmr taking the level the hell outta there the angles are so bad it definitely looks good though so ain’t tryna burn through axles let me know if you find a better way to run a level on top I’d be really interested in trying something else out good video though bro 💯

    • @RamStance310
      @RamStance310 27 дней назад

      You need to buy the 3.5 UCA to get a good angle

  • @Blanco_5.0
    @Blanco_5.0 Год назад +1

    Just do 1in and should get away with it.
    7in lift isn’t bad but over doing it with 8 or 9in gives bad angles on upper ball joints and cv axles .

  • @2STROKINWOODSWEAPON
    @2STROKINWOODSWEAPON Год назад +1

    Hey! Just wondering if you’re still Running the 8” lift. I have the same 6” rough country lift on my 2021 ram rebel and was considering adding an additional 2” spacer as well. I’m curious how long you’ve been running the 8” and what your thoughts are after some drive time. Any damage or increased wear ? How’s the tire wear ?

    • @michaelhorton6980
      @michaelhorton6980 Год назад

      I had a rough country lift and put the 2.5" level in front and 2" in rear. It allowed me to clear a 38 with a 20x10 wheel -24 offset. I will say this, you put your CV axles in bad angles, you will wear the upper control arm ball joints out and outer tie rods. You can use the shock from rough country lift, but they will be over extended.

    • @2STROKINWOODSWEAPON
      @2STROKINWOODSWEAPON Год назад

      thanks for the heads up, maybe i will try a 1" spacer instead. Definately dont want to cause more additional wear and problems than what its worth.@@michaelhorton6980

    • @Justin-cg3op
      @Justin-cg3op 9 месяцев назад

      @@michaelhorton6980 do you think the cv axles and ball joints wore out because of the added 2 inches ontop of the lift kit or because you have 38 inch tires on? or do you think they wore out because of both the tire size and the extra lift?

  • @freshram192
    @freshram192 Год назад

      I’d say it’s safe to say you’re dead wrong. I have a 2005 GMC Yukon XL with a 6.5 inch BDS high clearance suspension lift,a leveling kit on top of that which is 3 inch keys and 3 inch pucks in the rear. It also has a 3 inch body lift for a total of 12.5 inches of lift. I’ve put 129,000 miles on that setup without the slightest issue 😂
