I'm totally with Pat on having more ordinary people as heroes. I love to read that stuff. They are so much stronger and more interesting than there heroes we more often see, especially 'superheroes' which are really all just the same story with a different power and a different coloured pair of tights.
thanks a mill, Pat for all your great stories from Hook jaw to Slaine and back. You are officially invited to my Fantasy Christmas Dinner Table alongsde Anthony Bourdain, Jeff Minter, Ramsay Campbell, Billy Connolly and a couple others...
Daredevil is a lawyer by day but originally came from a working class background as did spiderman but worked their way to success, which is sorta hammering home the whole American ideal of hard work and clever ideas will get you places whereas it's much more idealistic than the 2000ad (and more realistic) view
The Stan Lee of British Comics. Except unlike Stan Lee, Pat Mills gives credit to the artists he works with and holds them in high regard
It's amazing how he's still a powerhouse of comic writing after so much time
What a brilliant man. I could listen to him forever.
Warped my young mind forever! Now my son is discovering 2000AD
This was a great panel. Thank you 2000AD for posting this. Mills is an icon whose influence and talent are without compare.
Now I know why I loved Nemesis The Warlock so much! ( Catholic upbringing)
Great writer and a thoroughly decent guy.

Great interview wish DC didn't back out of Batman vs Marshal Law would have been epic
"Car Thief Stories" haha.
Shame 2000ad isn't as big as Games Workshop-think of all the action figures, console games, etc they could do
The Razor Spinner might be facebook.com/FatherlyHQ/videos/1229488577104282/
To my shame I had some of those action force toys

He doesn't like outspoken comic book letterhacks.
