I faintly remember the Spongebob Summer Camp thing, I believe it was called "Spongebob on Tour" if I remember correctly, where they would visit different cities all around Germany. While I´m here, I might as well share another German Spongebob oddity. This one happened around 2009, the ten year anniversary. For a bit instead of normally airing Spongebob, it would be a different show by the name of "Have you seen this Sponge?". The show was all around finding out what happened to Spongebob and tried to figure out why he dissappeared. At the end it was revealed that he was preparing his birthday party. I remember the episode ended with the crew behind the show going to movie park Germany to find him where he explained it all to them, after that we cut to a re-dub of the "Whobob Whatpants" (the scene where he's the mayor of that town) episode where Spongebob explained his abscence and promised to never dissapear again. This thing was heavily promoted over here, I still got an "ad" for it in one of my old magazines.
hey! im not too sure if this counts as lost media, but I remember back then there was also a local, i think relatively small spongebob campaign, where you could download an app and vote for the correct answer related to the episode while it was still going,or something along those lines. there was even a timer put into the episodes and everything. you could also win merch and other prizes if you answered fast enough through the app(some details might be wrong as this was really long time ago, i dont remember very well) and ive been wondering if anyone else remembered it, i couldnt find footage of it since I dont know how to even search for it. im going crazy, did it even exist or did i imagine it? it feels too real (this isnt a joke)
Oh hey! Don’t know if you’ll see this at all but I grew up with the UK SpongeBob Magazines, used to get them every month(?)! I’m pretty sure that was their release schedule. I actually own a whole bunch of them at the moment, I’m looking into scanning the pages of some sometime and uploading them online! Hearing that they’re basically lost media is definitely more motivation to do that!
A Self Scanner here, If your thinking of scanning the magazines in make sure that they can easily be scanned first without things being cut off because it’s hard to scan a magazine when it’s still together, so be prepared to possibly take your magazines apart in order to scan them, also make sure that your scanner is actually a good one and scans the images in actual high resolution. A Bad Scanner Scan (the image is small, the image can’t be zoomed in much and has many visible artifacts that can not be edited out) A Good Scanner: (The Image a the same size as the Glass Top, The Image is Clear, Can zoom In on the image and Can Easily be edited)

I remember SpongeBob Cartoon Creator. What I remember more is it never working correctly. Picture this. You're trying to make SpongeBob say "For me?" and then, you go back to check on the other scenes you created. You come back to that scene, and the program's faulty autocorrect changes it to "For macaroni" How do I know this? This literally happened to me while using it, all those years ago.
Okay, with the SpongeBob mega bloks, this must have been close to the final wave before they lost the license. I swear I saw wacky cooking somewhere but only that one back in 2017. The year before they fully took away the license, I believe no sets were made in 2018. So these sets possibly had a short shelf lasting time. And this being literally just lego and depending if the sets are still sealed then we can possibly find the golf set, wacky cooking and wresting fully. And I feel like the squidward and sandy cars were most likely cancelled after it was completed because if they made sets like those they would have put it in the car sub line in those tubes and would’ve made 2 more to fit the 4 car theme. Going back to wacky wresting, this can be found! If we find another eBay listing we can get it! Possibly the same for wacky cooking and the gold set too! But with the racers, I feel like they were definitely cancelled if since we can only find the digital art and not physical images. By the way, how were the digital institutions found? Pdf files given from the website like how Lego does?
I actually remember playing the SpongeBob cartoon creator as a kid! I'd say it was made during a time trying to create video content for the internet was a big thing since you could watch cartoons that others created in the cartoon creator. Other than that, I just remember having a hard time trying it out as a kid because I wanted Mr Krabs to say "money", but for whatever reason it was a censored word. It's a very weirdly specific memory for sure. The fish creator was fun though!

Assuming I am remembering correctly, it might've been some template or base that both Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network both used. My memory is very spotty though, so I might be misremembering.
Technically every version of the first movie isn't 16:9, there's a cropped pan & scan 4:3 version that's on the VHS and the 2005 Standard Edition DVD I think they might've considered making it open matte with 16:9 & 21:9 similar to how many 80's animated movies were uncropped in both 4:3 & 16:9 and the extra info for the 21:9 version was just never used (as in they never cropped the raw animation to it), especially since this movie was digital The full disco ending version used to be online in 360p but the video got deleted

I bet you if night of the reanimated finally gets found that I bet you there would be a lot of fan animations, fan made bosses of characters and shows that weren't in the original, and also both versions of spongebob being part of Mistful Crimson Morning

I'm pretty sure Nick is releasing a cinemascope 4k version of the SpongeBob Movie sometime in July.
Unfortunately that's incorrect. It's releasing how it looked on film in the theater and ever so slightly wider in 1.85:1 though
