This game was ahead of its time man. I remember Taco Bell had a Gears 3 promotion going on and if you got a large drink you could get weapon skin codes I remember getting the Liquid Metal and Animated Rainbow skins I know there were other weapon skins but I don't remember them all.

Taco Bell had the best promotions during the early 2000s for gaming. Offering so many rewards up until I think 2015 or 16 is whenever they stopped making it huge

I gotta be honest, I was playing gears from the beginning, and I fell in love with 1 and got even more addicted to 2. Then 3 comes and it didn’t feel quite the same. Still played the hell out of it but I think it was the start of the slightly more cartoonish and colorful versions of the games. Didn’t play gears for years after I got tired of it, and always considered gears 3 the reason for it. Man this game was 100x smoother though

Too slow and weapons.feel.wrak AF and Host has massive advantage, guns do shit unless you constantly active, yes it's true in most Gears, but 2 for sure Active is the biggest advantage along with host or at least low Ping. Gears 2 is unplayable if you live in the EU as it's all US Hosts

Gears 1 is my favorite. Gears 2 was just weird to me gameplay wise. Might have been my internet at the time but it was so clunky.

I never stopped playing Gears 3. Its way better than 4 and anything is better than 5. This game is still mad fun. Only TDM servers though. Fps boost on the Series X makes this game look so much better too.

This game was perfect and the best gears.just how big the characters look and from the stopping power of the guns to the roadie run the skins even how you had to grind to get characters not just pay for everything. Hopefully e day is something similar to this game. Only thing I would add from the new games to this one would be jumping over cover other then that this game is good
Call me insane but watching vids of you and domez on old gears games made me want to finish up my golden locust hunter and minor challenges almosr done actually just need sawed off and hammerburst. I remember as a kid feeling it was impossible because i was terrible even against bots lol but gears 3 was where i started

i miss gow 3 maps like aftermath, academy, azura, and artillery.
Original trilogy was lightening in a bottle. 3 got me through high school too a lot of all nighters on that one

KOTH is my favourite mode because it needs players to come together, so action is more frequent. Gears 2 Guardian is the only played mode, and it gets boring once a leader dies
GOW 1-3 is the Trinity bro your right. Iconic and legendary. Can't wait for E-Day. All the other pros have been playing and it's been bringing people back to GOW and hopefully alot of new fans
This is my best gears of war ever we used to play lan 5v5 for hours at our nearest parlour and trust when i say it the competition is unreal only gnasher smoke.. longshot bow grande an incendiary was allowed no lance pistol.. it has some crazy maps too.. like rustlung.. where u can obtain a robot with mulcher and and can kill everyone...depths( except that middle top portion), bullet marsh where bat swarms spawns and kills player.... thrashball where u can kill people by droppin score board on them.... man... those were days.. clearly best gears of war ever.. i can argue with anyone for that...

I bought this game day 1 based on playing the other 2. Lived this game. Spent ALOT of time in Annex and Horde.
