Happy Sunday Rebecca, Yes Ulta’s customer service was very kind in replacing all four palettes. MAC Cosmetics has been a leader in the beauty industry years and for good reasons. MAC is not back! MAC never left, lots of other brands still look for inspiration when creating their own products. Theses new formulas are 25% more pigmented and applies and blends effortlessly. They are very good. It just feels that they were eclipsed by everyone they inspired. And that’s a shame because the crown that they left is still sitting there and it’s still fits them.
I definitely want to pick up some of these. The color stories are so well put together. Do I need these? No. I could probably dupe these looks with things I already have, but they are just so pretty and would be great for travel!

I am also almost 40 years old and I definitely prefer a calmer and more classic makeup for everyday use. Sometimes it is known that there is a desire for some more colorful make-up, but classic is classic and it will always be on time and will look good. That's why I like Mac so much lately ☺️

My ulta had them out today in store…I assume they didn’t get the memo??? So I bought two of the big ones and two of the six pans (clearly I have a problem). The palettes are so beautiful outside and in!!!! ❤❤
I was chatting with a MUA on MAC. (The bronzers are available!!). I asked for a release date and she said she couldn’t say but check emails. She called the ulta glitch a “sneak peak”. I wonder if they are just doing a second quality check.

The 6 pan palettes do remind me of the lisa eldrige ones. But I think this is a great way for mac do reconnect to their customers. I am drawn to get one of the small ones rather than the large ones.
I think the small ones are adorable. Yes. Very Lisa Eldridge but more accessible. There are so many Mac fans who will tell us that Mac never left but we know the truth. They abandoned their throne for quite a few years. I am glad to see them back. The crown still fits.

And they were talking about the Unfiltered Nudes palette. So I went and got one and the Stack mascara. I just received it on Saturday. So I have to see if it’s as good as I remember. Alsooo I bought 4 of the Hourglass eyeshadow sticks during their sale for 20 % off. Sofar only tried out Phoenix and it's sooo gorgeous!! I applied it directly on my lid and it covered perfectly in one layer with a very good metallic foiled shine. Once I blended out with a brush I had to go for another layer as it sheered out well but that was it. It also stayed on me all day and didn't budge. I tried it again as a base and put additional shimmers over and it made the look last a full day 😮I have hooded lids so eye shadows almost always sheer out or crease a bit but my eyes looked freshly done after 10 hours
That is the most wonderful review of the new Hourglass that I’ve seen. What a great testimony. They are so pretty and when they can last 10 hours, that is saying something. Those are really good little products.

This neutral eye look is beautiful on you. I am drawn to Mac as they have some of my holy grails but I would be ecstatic if they released a shimmer eyeshadow formula like their holiday 2021 as a permanent release. They honestly gave PML a run for her money in some of those shades. Otherwise their eyeshadow shimmers are just subtle which makes me more drawn to their mattes. - especially those that are nostalgic from the early RUclips days. Mystery solved re the bronzers 😂

And I really feel like they’re making a mark again rather than every so often. They deserve to compete with the big names as they once ruled the roost. Yes. I think they tend to get lost in those flashy exciting new releases by other brands - but you are so right that when Mac are good they are very good. They seem to be getting more interest but they are still a go to for solid complexion products that I don’t have to worry about wasting $ on. They were one of the early market leaders with a huge shade range and undertones.
Beautiful palettes! Love the bronze palette. I for one will never have enough neutrals. Neutrals go from everyday casual to smokey sexiness. I look forward to the return of these palettes. 👍❤
I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I have always loved the individual shades in their own components. I just feel they last longer plus I’m a sucker for limited edition packaging. I’m just not a palette girl, quads are as big as I want. Satin Taupe which is one of the shades in the big palette that you liked, is one of fave shades. Looking forward to picking up a bronzer when they are available here in Australia.
It makes total sense. I think people who like single shades are people who know what they’re doing, know what colors they love and are going for a very specific look. I totally respect that. Not joking. I hope the bronzers get to you soon and I hope these pallets are in wider release.

I had the 12 pans in my cart but didn’t pull the trigger. I was hoping that Ulta might do a 20% when the Sephora sale was going on, so I was holding out. Guess I missed the boat for now. 😂 There’s something to be said about a good everyday palette!
What I really like about these, Melinda, is there is something for everyone. I know a lot of people would not choose the every day palette even though you and I are in agreement about it but there’s also colorful pallets. They really just covered all the bases. And maybe you will be proven right and they will indeed go on sale, add a discount, to compete with Sephora, a product Sephora does not carry.

Thank you so very much for your kind words! They do not appear to be removable but that would be somewhat unusual for Mac. There’s a sticker on the back of the pallets with the names of the shades and I was kind of trying to pry that up to see if maybe there were some pinholes and I can’t find any. I’m going to go with the fact that these are not removable. But if I learn otherwise I will come back and let you know.
Not me selfishly hoping you will buy more of these once they release 😂😅although I get why you don't want the colourful one. All the others look gorgeous. Edit:will you try to get the Byredo Remembrance palette? It looks gorgeous but no clue when it will release where. Only was on Bergdorf but sold out
I've not tried MAC in years. The swatches look OK. At least you can see them. Any time I've seen charlotte tilbury swatches, they look really poor. Yet they're so hyped up. 😅 I love a good shimmer that shows up on the eye well.
I totally agree about these shades. They are powdery when they need to be and creamy when they need to be. They blend beautifully and still have an impact while being buildable. All around win.
While very nice palettes I miss having some foiled or special shades like Huda and Pat McGrath have, I love a foiled shadow or a duochrome, even if they had put a dazzle shadow or two in just to amp them up a bit.
I would like to purchase the hindsight eyeset and a barestudy eyeshadow paintpot. I haven’t had any eyeshadow palettes in years. I will purchase from Nordstrom

This is exactly what I’ve said for so long, sorry to repeat myself, about all these leaks from Natasha Denona. They’ve got to be purposeful. If not, she needs to fire her entire staff. There’s a leak every time she releases something and they act like they’re so upset about it.

I think there’s value to it. Sometimes people need to think about buying decisions and budget. For that type of viewer I can see this to be very nice to not sell out! It’s nice for a video to be about excitement for makeup
I absolutely respect and appreciate your opinion on this. In fact it’s something I went back-and-forth about. I’ve actually had these pallets a little over a week. So I was indeed holding them wondering whether or not to post this review. Some people, when I questioned Them, asked me to hold it. Others asked me to share it so that they could start figuring out if this was something they wanted. The reason I went with polishing it, since you ask I will tell you, is that it is a video on RUclips that does not come down. So people who need to watch it now in order to prepare their budgets can do so and others can come find it again when the products are released. I figured that way it hits both needs in the community. :) regarding rephr brushes, I am an affiliate and use them in all of my videos so I wasn’t promoting them particularly.
I wasn’t interested originally but I like the look of the nude palette and think I like it more than the ND Glam palette that I keep going back and forth on.
MAC isn't a brand that has ever interested me to purchase. I do like these palettes that have lovely packaging and pretty shades, yet they're not anything I don't already own many times over. For those starting out, the larger neutral palette would be nice but at this point, not for me I'm afraid.🇦🇺💖🐇💐🐣

I would say there’s a few that are warm and a few that are slightly cooler and overall it’s a fairly neutral-based rose toned palette.
Beautiful palettes! Love the bronze palette. I for one will never have enough neutrals. Neutrals go from everyday casual to smokey sexiness. I look forward to the return of these palettes. 👍❤

I know it’s an unpopular opinion but I have always loved the individual shades in their own components. I just feel they last longer plus I’m a sucker for limited edition packaging.
I’m just not a palette girl, quads are as big as I want.
Satin Taupe which is one of the shades in the big palette that you liked, is one of fave shades.
Looking forward to picking up a bronzer when they are available here in Australia.
It makes total sense. I think people who like single shades are people who know what they’re doing, know what colors they love and are going for a very specific look. I totally respect that. Not joking. I hope the bronzers get to you soon and I hope these pallets are in wider release.

I love these! I am bummed that missed them at Ulta. I am happy that Mac seems to be making a bit of a comeback! I will get the neutral 12 pan and probably a colorful 6 pan but I need to see what the options are!
There’s a really colorful one super bright almost like festival bright. It’s not my vibe but it’s gorgeous.

I had the 12 pans in my cart but didn’t pull the trigger. I was hoping that Ulta might do a 20% when the Sephora sale was going on, so I was holding out. Guess I missed the boat for now. 😂 There’s something to be said about a good everyday palette!
What I really like about these, Melinda, is there is something for everyone. I know a lot of people would not choose the every day palette even though you and I are in agreement about it but there’s also colorful pallets. They really just covered all the bases. And maybe you will be proven right and they will indeed go on sale, add a discount, to compete with Sephora, a product Sephora does not carry.

Thank you so very much for your kind words! They do not appear to be removable but that would be somewhat unusual for Mac. There’s a sticker on the back of the pallets with the names of the shades and I was kind of trying to pry that up to see if maybe there were some pinholes and I can’t find any. I’m going to go with the fact that these are not removable. But if I learn otherwise I will come back and let you know.

I totally agree about these shades. They are powdery when they need to be and creamy when they need to be. They blend beautifully and still have an impact while being buildable. All around win.
While very nice palettes I miss having some foiled or special shades like Huda and Pat McGrath have, I love a foiled shadow or a duochrome, even if they had put a dazzle shadow or two in just to amp them up a bit.
A few bits of dazzle really would have been nice. I hear that entirely, michelle!

That being said, how can we not think something is up when they have had two releases in succession that have been questionable like this. And then we see brands like Natasha Denona who has a leak every single time they’re about to have a new release and they act shocked and upset by it. Then it happens again the next time. How can we not be suspicious?

This is exactly what I’ve said for so long, sorry to repeat myself, about all these leaks from Natasha Denona. They’ve got to be purposeful. If not, she needs to fire her entire staff. There’s a leak every time she releases something and they act like they’re so upset about it.

I think there’s value to it. Sometimes people need to think about buying decisions and budget. For that type of viewer I can see this to be very nice to not sell out! It’s nice for a video to be about excitement for makeup

I absolutely respect and appreciate your opinion on this. In fact it’s something I went back-and-forth about. I’ve actually had these pallets a little over a week. So I was indeed holding them wondering whether or not to post this review. Some people, when I questioned Them, asked me to hold it. Others asked me to share it so that they could start figuring out if this was something they wanted. The reason I went with polishing it, since you ask I will tell you, is that it is a video on RUclips that does not come down. So people who need to watch it now in order to prepare their budgets can do so and others can come find it again when the products are released. I figured that way it hits both needs in the community. :) regarding rephr brushes, I am an affiliate and use them in all of my videos so I wasn’t promoting them particularly.
I wasn’t interested originally but I like the look of the nude palette and think I like it more than the ND Glam palette that I keep going back and forth on.

MAC isn't a brand that has ever interested me to purchase. I do like these palettes that have lovely packaging and pretty shades, yet they're not anything I don't already own many times over. Me as a consumer looking at your video and review does not make me want to buy it - because the way you just butcher your palettes and eye looks.
