  • The Kia Niro EV is one of three variants that form the Niro model line, giving Kia customers after the brand’s most efficient machines a one-stop shopping experience. The Niro EV tops the range, with the Plug-in Hybrid and Hybrid models slotting in below it. The Niro EV is fully electric, and rated at a slightly conservative 385 kilometres of driving range per charge. It’s also the fastest, quietest, smoothest, and priciest Niro of them all.

Excellent review. Very nice to hear a Canadian perspective on the EV driving experience. I am surprised there isn't more publicity about the Niro EV!

I love my Niro EV. Had it only 5 months now. It has around 300 km of range in the winter here in southern B.C. compared to 400 the rest of the year. Ours does have the heat pump with winter mode.

Great review. I really like your presentation style.
The e-niro is THE best value for money EV out there at the moment.

Every day that I drive mine, it brings a smile to my face, if you want a low cost vehicle drive an ICE, if you want the joy of instant torque and near total silence, with a long range and plenty of storage then the Niro delivers.
I found the model3 too small for my needs.
    Thanks for the review.

I mean ev high a a high price due to consumers not buying in to the ev idea but they require little maintenance oppose to ICE cars
It relatively cheaper in 5 year true cost to own rather than an ICE car
But the reason people tend to gear away is because of the range anxiety which never occur for me.

I agree John. I own a 2019 ENiro. It is a fun car to drive. People can't realize what instant torque means until they drive an electric car. This is what I don't miss. A transmission, drive shaft, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, third member and oil changes. I use the regenerative braking a lot and rarely use the disk brakes. That will add years of life to the brake system. I found the Teslas too expensive for not much more range than the KIA.

Nah, I'll go with a Tesla for the same price.

The only tesla for 45,000 dollars has 93 miles of range, about as much as an original Nissan leaf
