      He failed to mention that packs will fight and kill each other for dominance the same as wolves.
      They don't all live in harmony , they're territorial animals. So that theory literally makes no sense that they adjust their population that way. Their litters depend on alot of factors including food availability.

    He mentioned that horses disappeared about 10,000 years ago. They left North America and went to Asia and Africa across the Bering land mass. And then 10,000 years ago were stuck there and were reintroduced to North Americans in recent history. That fits perfectly with the Younger-Dryas theory. I paused the video so I don't know if they make that connection but Rogan also has on Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson pretty often. Hope that comes up in this interview!

    Having been a Montana rancher I automatically get my hackles up about the APR but, as an educated person I realize that Yellowstone is not a good example of how the land was pre-european. As a Native American I wish to see the thunderous herds of bison that the elders told stories about and it's hard to imagine what the land looked like so, long story short, I'm behind them.

    What would happen if you could mimic the howl of the coyotes when they do role call so that the one taking count hears many more howls than the real number. Could that reverse the effect and make them have less babies?

    • @Zach-Fetters
      @Zach-Fetters 7 лет назад +1

      lachance84 I don't think so because you would have too have the exact pitch of the one you take out

    • @lachance84
      @lachance84 7 лет назад +1

      I'm sure there is some technology out there that I don't know enough about that could precisely record the howls or something extremely similar.

    • @lachance84
      @lachance84 7 лет назад

      zachf also, if that did reverse the effect of the female having more pups you wouldn't have to take any coyotes out. You could just make them think that there's more of them than there actually is.

    • @Zach-Fetters
      @Zach-Fetters 7 лет назад

      lachance84 but I wonder if that would work because you would have to make a unique howl and it would be one they aren't familiar with so idk if they would accept it as a part of their own pack

    • @Zach-Fetters
      @Zach-Fetters 7 лет назад +1

    In MN I hear them almost every night, its an eerie but cool sound. Sirens will also set them off and then all the dogs in the neighborhood. Please be aware of them, a lone one came into our yard during the day and wasnt afraid of our large dog barking at it from inside the house. We definitely take the dog out on a leash at night in case a pack is around.
