Can’t help but feel a bit of nostalgia watching these highlights. So much talent on that pitch on both sides. What a great generation of players. Most of them retired by now. RM had a lot of top class players that were eclipsed by the arrival of CR7 and forced to move on. On the other side Barcelona kept their playing style under Guardiola who extraordinarily formed the best team of that era with Messi rising to be the GOAT. I feel lucky to have watched the Clásicos of those times!!!!
I agree. a former Real Madrid and CR7 fan I must say it's too bad with the likes of Ramos, Marcelo, Raul, Higuain, Robben and Casillas are often overlooked. it might be the system and chemistry but I firmly believe that if Messi went to Real Madrid, they would have won more than what Barcelona lineup could during Messi's peak considering that the offense is made primarily around Messi. what happened in PSG though is quite different imo considering the coaching don't know how to utilize Messi and the concentration around Mbappe.

Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are by far my favorite living football legends, they are the reason I fell in love with football in the first place, they are part of my childhood... Henry should have won at least one or two ballon d'or in the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he was so unique and underrated back then, he was almost unstoppable and genuinely a very good all-rounder authentic player. ☯️✌️

IMO he was the best player of 08/09 (follow up after great Euro2008) and Golden Ball should be his.
