Not unless you and the producer live in the same city/state. If he lives in another city then you record yourself rapping/singing over the beat then send it to him via email and tell him what kinda sound you want then it'll get done like that. Just talk to eachother via Skype/FaceTime/webcam
Sending beats off just makes you a track maker not a Producer. You would only be credited as a Co-writer while the Artist or who ever recorded or oversaw the production gets credited as Producer. Usually the artist is Producing themselves if they are the ones laying down the vocals and arrangement etc as they are creating the Masters as the finished record. As Scott Storch says he never sends tracks out to people since he's a Real Producer as you probably ain't gonna get paid. He said people would try to use the Beat as long as they can. He doesn't do that. He works directly with the artist in the studio overseeing the vision of the finished record from start to finish. You Don't want to be just a track maker if you're going to call yourself a Producer on a track. Producer's produce entire songs known as the Master Recording with vocals, beat and everything arranged as the finished record. Beat Makers are Co-Writers that compose instrumental backing tracks as they are a Songwriter. Producer=Director Songwriter=Beat Maker
Alexzay Radio it’s better to have a trackout because you can have all the instruments to mix and master your vocals. That’s what every artist is doing because if you lease you still have tags and not only that you either have to deal with a very low quality beat or a mastered beat that won’t fit your vocals and it will just sound muddy if you put vocals over a mastered track
Making beats doesn't make you a Producer. You are just a track maker. Theres a difference. There are three types of Music Producers in the industry, Executive Producer, Record Producer and Vocal Producer. Beat Makers are the same thing as Songwriters and Composers as they get all the same publishing royalties and songwriting credits as Lyricist. They are often credited as Writer, Composer, Instrumentation and Drum Programming in production credits NOT Producer. Record Producers are managment directing roles in the studio that direct and oversee overal production that works directly with the Artist and Engineer. Record Producer's get what is called "Producer Points"s aka Producer royalites paid out by the record label thats usually 3% of record sales. Beat makers don't get those types of royalties. Rodney Jerkins, Bryan-Michael Cox, Pharrell Williams, Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, Timbaland, J.R Rotem, and Tricky Stewart are both Songwriters and Record Producers wearing two different hats. They are often get Songwriting and Production credits as both Writer and Producer for both roles as. Most Hip Hop Producers started out as beat makers before taking over the acting role as a "Producer", hint which is why they are called producers in the first place when they aren't making beats. Producer's produce entire songs with vocal production, backing track, everything arranged and mixed as the finished product known as the Master(s) while Beat Makers just make beats an instrumental backing track as the Co-Writer. Producer=Director Songwriter=Beat Maker
What so producers are just management? I'm my case I make my songs/beats, do vocals, and Master all within my capabilities ya know? So what does that qualify as cause that last part confused me when you said they're the ones that put all that stuff together. Sorry for the rant ha
@@nezerworld6361 You are just basically wearing a bunch of hats that's all. The definition of a Record Producer is directing and overseeing production and recording of the finished record like the Quincy Jones as you don't necessary have to play any instruments or even Co-Write the music. Producer's are similar to a role as a Film Director. P-Diddy is just that as he doesn't make beats as you see him all the time in the studio collaborating with the Artist that's in the booth while Diddy sits behind the mixing board talking through a Talk back monitor calling the shots. That's a Producer. So if you compose your own beats and write your own lyrics, you are a *Writer.* If you oversee the vision of your own record or for some one else and how you wanted to sound by making the judges and decisions, vocal coaching, assist in song and vocal arrangment etc you are a *Producer.* If you record, mix edit and master, you are an *Engineer.* If you rap or sing then you are an *Artist.* basically you are wearing 4 different hats Producer/Songwriter, Engineer and Recording Artist. Pharrell Williams also wears 4 different hats but he's mostly a Producer/Songwriter.
This is just a evil genius ha has talent but it's his genius that's been his talent he is not gifted that's why he always talking bout he was inspired because that's a key word for got it from some Wer els he stole a song from a Cincinnati artist by the name of "YOUNG ROME " aka UPTOWNYOUNGROME ON RUclips ! This Gifted guy has been on B.E.T has won the OHIO HIP HOP AWARDS ! Has songs with the Migos , Bankroll fresh , OG Bobby Johnson and many more industry artist so ppl see this underrated artist and feel it's cool to steal his music he does nothing but steal beats and song and switch the instruments so it's harder to sue him but he took a already masterd and mixed down song and claims he wrote and produced for MEEK MILL CALLED "Fuck you mean " but look at the dates on the artist "Young Rome " song " "Fuck you mean "then meek and j Oliver song " Fuck you mean" #FACT
If you don't believe me look it up lets stop being just fan of ppl and really look up and research things THIS YOUNG ROME ARTIST HAS THINGS PRODUCED BY SONNY DIGITAL AND IS A HARD WORKER AND HAS GREAT MUSIC
As a producer, allow me to help out here. First you should understand the difference between a Writer and a Publisher. The Writer, in this case, would be the producer or whoever crafted the beat. The Publisher would be you, the person intending to perform ON the crafted beat. Usually there is a 50/50 ownership of the work of art. When you buy the exclusive, you are really saying "Hey world, of this 50/50 joint ownership of this track, I am the one and only publisher and can do anything I want as a publisher according to the limitations of the contract I signed." If the producer wants to hand over the copyright to you, that is his/her choice.
I'm a Record Producer and a Songwriter. A Beat Maker is technically a Songwriter as they Co-Write the music or Instrumental backing track. I have this clause in my Record Producer contract agreements called "Controlled Composition" as the author of the Composition/Beat as the Co-writer. I file and register a Copryright first and then the Artist register a new copy right as a derivative. I get a Mechanical royalty each time the Masters embodying my composition is sold, download or streamed. Usually me and an Artist would fill out a Songwriting split sheet of the ownership share of the music. I own 50% of the song the Beat, the Artist owns 50% of the song the Lyrics. The Artist owns 100% of the Masters as there's this thing called Work-For-Hire in my Producer contract agreement. Producer's generally don't own the Masters. Masters is the entire record while the Composition such as the Beat and Lyrics is owned between me and the artst.
