Do you tell the clients a time limit (eg, 50 comments within 2 weeks)?
Nope. Normally it fizzles out after the 2 weeks and they either give up if they realize people aren’t participating or they get it within 2 weeks. If they’re extra close then I’ll tell them to do another push on social and then they normally end up getting it. So yeah it’s normally they make it within 2 weeks or they won’t ever make it if that makes sense.

Great question. I'm not 100% sure, but the views and hits on your page definitely helps.
I think this is a no-go. You can't give couples a assignment to go and read / comment on a blog post you wrote during their wedding day. You are a photographer, you have to work for them, they don't have to work for you. They have to enjoy their wedding day, not looking at phones. Thats my opinion. Maybe this works in your country, in the Netherlands this is not done and not appreciated.
I think you've misunderstood. AFTER the wedding, I give couples the option to share the blog post of sneak peek images from their engagement and/or wedding with their friends and family, and have them try and get their friends and family to comment on my website so they can win a free canvas. I have had a ton of clients do this and have fun with it. This isn't something that happens on the actual wedding day. This happens a week or two afterwards. It drives traffic to our site, gets people involved in a challenge, and they get free products and I get a ton of eyes on the work we just created.
