What a fun start to your new adventures. I bet the excitement levels were high for everyone and I'm not surprised you got woken up early! There are some lovely campsites along the Waikato River now, great bases for biking and kayaking.
Yeh we will have to have a Google I think and add some of the other spots to the list. Also want to try and tackle the timber trail one weekend but maybe without kids 😁

My wife and I had a look at the four bunk model of the vacationer. Ohhh, they are some nice caravans. You have inspired us so much. Looking forward to the adventures ahead.
Beautiful vans aye! The 4 bunk model has all that awesome storage under the bunks and you get the benefit of the big rear bathroom! Ours had been great so far 👍

What a beautiful spot for your first trip in your new caravan😃 The girls looked to be having so much fun in their trailer, Harvey’s wee legs did well 😃
He did awesome, did about 6km the second day on his own and loved it 😊 the girls get so excited about the trailer but argue about who is sitting in the front haha

That is a lovely family camping spot. Pet friendly if dogs and cats on leads.
I had a single seated Weehoo for my grand daughter. I taught her to tuck when we wobbled to much in prep for any falls we might have. Fortunately only one and she tucked well so no injuries. I brought her cycling gloves to protect her hands. Unfortunately she grew to fast and at seven we had to get her own bike. She's not so keen on riding her own bike! I miss the extra power boost for hills!
Great idea with the gloves! Bet your granddaughter loves the novelty of wearing gloves too, I know our girls would 😊 they love that trailer, there are always arguments about who gets to sit in the front haha

Someone has a new toy, great suspension shots too! Harvey, Jacob loves your new bike! Very cool. It was neat seeing you out biking and those 630am starts, I bet Gizmo was the centre of that excitement.

Thanks Team! Haha yeh that ebike battery gets a workout 😅 might have to put an inverter in the caravan to charge them up!

Haha yup new drone, wish we had it last year when we were down south! Yeh it’s an awesome spot, apparently there are other spots down the river for camping and biking too so we will have to check those ones out!

Yup 👍 we had a DJI Mavic 2 before so have a bit of practice but this one is even easier to fly which is nice

Really awesome spot to free camp after a short drive with riverside parking! Looks like a great places for biking and kayaking! The van looks pretty epic in the shots!
She’s nice looking huh! Yeh we can’t believe we have never stayed there seeing it’s only a short drive from our house, wonder what other great spots there are in our backyard haha

Laid back area of central north island, great country full of history .
It’s a nice area huh, we are keen to try and tackle the timber trail next year which looks pretty incredible. Might have to leave the kids at home I think 👍

Great spot, awesome having all of the bikes along - I bet you'll enjoy using them when you get down south. There's plenty of nice trails around Marlborough and Nelson.
I'm trying to build a bike rack on the drawbar of our caravan at the moment.
Oh nice yeh we are busy shopping around for a good rack at the moment, thinking a vertical one. Can’t wait to take our bikes down south, some awesome looking tracks down there too

Hi 👋 not that one (but that one is nice too!) it’s up the river more over the Whakamaru Dam. If you search for Lake Whakamaru Reserve Boat Ramp on Google you will find it 👍
