The hiking video ends with a trek summary and review that answers everything you need to know before hiking the Lofoten trails yourself!

The area where you decided not to go up Hermannsdalstinden, but descended to the ferry to return to Reine. The descent to the ferry is described as "very difficult" in some maps. You just mentioned that it is generally challenging. In which part of your video can you see the descent to the ferry? Can you post the minutes please? Is this nearby here 10:00
Hi!
Good question, It’s the path starting from the left of the lake you see after 10:00 down to the place where the boat departs that had quite a lot of vegetation and for us was a bit muddy and slippery in places, I would not describe it ”very” difficult though, rather ”slightly tedious”.
You see parts of hiking that actual path 11:22 but when it was too slippery/steep I did not film unfortunately. We used our hands in places when we descended (like a crabwalk downhill) to try and not slip and fall. It worked quite well, before doing so I did fall at one point and got a bit muddy, but important to note that this area did not have any steep drops close to the path so at least it felt safe. Just a bit cumbersome…
@@JonathanLundmark Thanks for your feedback, that helped me a lot. I usually travel in the Alps (Germany/Austria). I often go for courses up to T5 and UIAA 1+. But not with such a heavy backpack weighing 20 kilograms.
It's okay for me to be tedious, we're going on an adventure. I was just recently traveling in Madeira, which is also tedious, because there are just damn steep steps up there.
Your video is well done, great editing and I really like the music. Keep it up, great channel!😁
Just checked this video out, this place looks amazing. Might fit this in next year too.
Glad you liked it! Lofoten was indeed an amazing hike although my all time favourite would be Laugavegur if you havent seen it yet ;) 🫶
@@JonathanLundmark I will check your video on that later this evening. I live in Finland so anything in Sweden/Norway is quite close for me. There are so many parts of Norway I want to explore, but these islands are about 10 hour drive for me, so not too bad. And they look stunning, of course giving credit to your great camera work 😁
@kevinsmart6985 Thanks! Ah Finland 🇫🇮, any hikes in Finland you would recommend? I havent been there hiking yet!
@@JonathanLundmark I'm into my mountains, and Finland is mostly flat, so not ideal for that. But "Karhunkierros" is a famous 83km trail here which is very pretty. Also I really like Kilpisjärvi area, there is a nice 20km hike to get to the border between Finland, Sweden and Norway.
@@kevinsmart6985 Thanks for the tips! I’ll check those trails up! 👍
