    Cool axe modification! The yellow rangie in you channel pic looks like one I owned for several years! I last saw it at the Pieman river heads.

      Thanks, yes loved the axe project and got another to do. Interesting about the yellow rangie, wonder if it was that one as not many in that colour.

    How did you hardened the axehead after you cut it to shape?

      if you cut without heating it then its ok as is. it's only if you get it too hot that it requires re-hardening. I kept placing the head into a water container to keep it cool. I'm no expert but have sources this info from other blacksmith/axe making channels.
