At a neat forty-five thousand words, it's by far the longest thing I've ever written, and Amoni-Ram left huge shoes for any prospective sequel to fill -- I posted this thing a month ago on my 20th birthday not expecting it to get a ton of traction because of its length, but what do you know, it's already doing great after a month. I never knew how lucky we are to get a new scp every single week, until I hit like the third week and started withdrawal symptoms... mood swings, the shakes, night terrors etc... it was brutal

Why *does* SCP-001 have to be some sort of godly, bombastic thing anyway? If it's the first SCP the foundation ever found, then why couldn't it have been some mundane weird thing that does something spooky but harmless?

Also, a fun fact about the real-world religions that incorporate terms similar to "Daevite"; while Zoroastrian tradition "daevas" are essentially demons, and "ahura" is an epithet applied to benevolent divine entities (including the supreme Zoroastrian God, Ahura Mazda), in Hindu (and Buddhist) tradition this is reversed, with "devas" being essentially the gods besides the really supreme cosmic ones (like those apart from the Triad of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva) and "asuras" being more malevolent entities akin to demons or the Ancient Greek Titans. It's speculated this opposition in the related terms between the Avestan and Sanskrit languages (which are related) probably reflects how ancient Indians and ancient Persians felt about one another and their respective religions.
You know, i actually missed that as i never really associated the deva with SK in scp lore except for maybe a couple of small entries. I dont even remember them having a god. Abominate maybe is yaldaboath, the sarkic god. It would make sense.
I don’t know where you read that it’s indicative of what either people thought about one another, it’s actually the case that they’re just different sects of the Indo Aryan type of Indo European religion.

Also, for whatever reason they decided to split the SCP 001 into numerous proposal.
