Hey Rach, welcome back. Recently I got stuck, then I did this art course & it changed my life & helped me find something inside that I never knew was there. Apart from that, it gave me a different perspective. Some times that's all we need to get going again.
I'm loving you're WOW moment in Joshua tree house & looking forward to seeing where this leads❤

Thank you for sharing, I think way too often we hold these feelings inside because we’ve been taught not to impose on or bother other people with them when we are down. No one gets a prize for being stoic.
      You are a delight.

Everyone suffers from depression at some point in their life. I was married to a narcissist it took two years to heal enough to move forward. Now I see lots of psychologists talking about the lingering effects of such a relationship. Depression oh yeah. Girl your ok has been part of my healing journey that’s what we are supposed to do love and encourage each other. You put on your battle armor and you persevered and are still overcoming. Each step of progress you make is a win. You’ve got this. I adore everything you’ve done I wish I was young again and had friends like you and Woodbrain. My life might have been different but we’re all on this journey to find and love ourselves. Go Rachel go.

I think it would save you a lot of work in the future as you move on renovating your house, if you bought a huge roll of craft paper and made patterns for what you want to create! In this case I would've hung the paper over the demo'd wall and cut out the first circle, realized that's not what I wanted so scrap it and try the square-cirlce compromise, scrap it when it didn't look right, and try again to draw what I wanted, to scale. Exactly how people who sew make swatches of their clothes with cheap fabric to work out the kinks and when they create the look they want, they have a pattern they can trace for their expensive/nice fabric. Just a thought!

Depression is such a paralyzing disease, and it does affect each one of us differently. If we don't keep our hands busy by earning our own keep, it's a losing battle! I'm so glad to see you choosing to stay busy. Creating a beautiful world out of dust is so magical and healing. Love from San Francicso

I really do hope you find the help you need. It seems like you've been stuck in a cycle for a few years now. It's like every video starts with you talking about having lost your motivation and sense of self and then you find it to do a project, but then you're back down in a depressive episode. Yet you come back with newfound motivation to usually redo the project you'd just said you had a new lease on life to complete. We've seen you in a positive headspace years ago so I'm sure you can get back there or at least find some strategies to help you manage your depression and anxiety. Of course you can't just magically get rid of depression and anxiety but there are ways to cope where you aren't living in such a high high, low low cycle. We're rooting for you, girl!

In the future I think creating the supports of the wall then putting the plywood or whatever material you want to use on the wall, over the whole wall, then using your original idea with a string to create a circle then with a jigsaw you can cut through and punch out the circle, then can adjust from there as you wish.
Love the idea and look overall, the space feels so much brighter and bigger now!

I'm glad you took time away from You Tube as I suspected you were getting overwhelmed with unfinished projects. I think this project gave you a boost, as everything eventually turns out so good. Can't wait to see the whole room after you finish everything. Rachel, you have to remember that a lot of stuff has gone on in your personal life, and around the world, in the last 3.5+ yrs. Uncertainty about things we can't control leaves many people depressed...but it is a transition. You will come out very strong for it in the end. I understand totally what you're going through with the depression. Took me several years to get out of that state myself. Takes a lot to admit you messed up and then to get the energy to start again and do it right. I'm going to be honest with you, you can do so much better than this, and you have done.
