Becker Elementary Students Lead Community Service

This school year, Becker Elementary's Student Lighthouse Team used their leadership skills to make a big difference! In the fall, students tackled projects around the school building, working in small groups to meet the needs of their school community. This spring, the students turned their attention to the larger community.
After a motivational visit from Mayor Hart, these leaders organized a day of service. They packed marshmallows at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and later planted flowers to beautify the Jesse Cosby Center.
