    Knottingley was one of the depots I always wanted to visit .class 47's were seen frequently around the network accept for those allocated to Knottingley
    They were a used exclusively on MGR workings to Eggborough power station and were fitted with slow running gear

    Youd never believe now looking at Thornaby thst once it was the biggest marshalling yard in Europe
