Chris is an absolute visionary and I am so glad to see him working on a project that is meaningful enough to captivate his interest. When I read about his reasons for leaving Swift, it annoyed me to hear that he no longer felt appreciated by the core team. This of course is a far greater loss to Swift & Apple, and a net win for humanity and for AI. The corporations today all treat AI as if it were some kind of secret weapon, working on it like countries work on their nukes. With that kind of power-hungry mindset, it's no wonder why even basic AI applications like voice assistants from Apple, Amazon & Google all suck today and are as useful as they were 7 years ago. When your primary motivation is market share rather than empowering human intelligence, you get bogged down on meaningless functionality that doesn't actually improve anyone's life but just tries to milk them for more money. Tesla's biggest mistake was letting Chris go, which is why their autopilot still sucks today and can't even get basic following right. In the world of music nothing would be possible without the 5-line sheet music system, and the entirety of modern music would not be possible without the standardization of MIDI. So too do you guys have the opportunity to create a standard system which will democratize AI for everybody, because the power should not rest solely in monolithic corporations who only seek to improve AI for their own ends. As a RUclipsr, it took me only a few days of learning Swift to create an app that helped me plan out my filming projects better. I was struck by the love and care that went into the functionality of the language, the Xcode GUI which provides immediate feedback on syntax and compile errors, and the ease by which developers can quickly achieve their vision in a structured way that is fully supported in one system. To do so using any other language or platform would take far longer, learning 3rd party libraries & debugging stupid errors. It was clear while learning Swift that the language was lovingly crafted by somebody who understood the user experience of not just experienced developers but also novices like myself who need some handholding ;) Like sheet music & MIDI, the app is the canvas by which programmers materialize their vision into the world. What is the canvas for AI? I'm sure you guys are figuring out the answer, and I will be the first in line to try out whatever you invent for humanity.
Wow. You're enthusiasm is great! I just heard about MOJO today via Lex Fridman's interview and I'm interested in AI Alignment via humanity core values alignment, via a world vote during a 3 day synchronized arts and music festival on the 40th anniversary of Live Aid AKA LiveAid2025. You seem like a guy that might be interested in this. Anyway. I've subscribed to your channel. Maybe we'll talk more, but right now I'm diving into MOJO so I can build my dream interface "Aura of Intelligence" for all the ML/AI algorithms I want to use on my own life-logging and social data and XR games integration with G.A.J.R.A. Earth; a Global Association for Joyful Responsible Abundance on Earth.

The team is motivated and united by a shared culture that drives their actions and decisions.
Interesting.
Thank you, Modular, Modular AI.
Do you really practice what you say ?
Yes, we do 🙂
When so many people are going to listen. It totally make sense to practice before speaking anything.
@Modular what should i learn to be able to work at Modular ? been working with swift since last 10 years thanks to chris
