  • The dedication of the Rome Italy Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is underway. On a cool and overcast Sunday March morning, Church President Russell M. Nelson conducted the symbolic cornerstone ceremony, which signifies the temple’s completion and readiness to be dedicated for sacred use. The ceremony is also symbolic of Christ as the Chief Cornerstone of the Church.

    What a beautiful building dedicated to perform vital eternal life-saving ordinances for loved ones on the other side of the veil of death. Through these ordinances, we can be connected to God and our loved ones throughout eternity! So much hope! I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

    Years ago then elder Nelson came for a surprise visit to Missionaries in Rome. I was his translator, my English wasn't very good at the time, so I was surprised when the mission president asked me to translate as there were other missionaries who were more proficient than I. So I said a quick prayer and walked up to the microphone. My knowledge of English was expanded and I was able to understand perfectly everything he said and knew immediately how to translate it in the best Italian.

    I congratulate the the Italians and the Romans on the construction of this temple. You guys are continuing the work that Paul begun when he spoke to you 2013 years ago. Paul spoke of a temple in your city when he gave his sermon on top of Mars Hill not far from here. Well today you are fulfilling his vision as the cornerstones are laid and this great temple is dedicated. Congratulations.

      I find it interesting how Mormons look for signs and symbols in even the smallest of places to boost their belief. Yet, they ignore the huge "golden calf" that they place on top of their most holiest of holy buildings.

      @@echosmyth2282 What's the golden calf?

    • @echosmyth2282
      @echosmyth2282 5 лет назад +1

      @@caydenthompson126 , When Moses came down the mount, with the ten commandments, he found the people worshiping a statue that was made out of gold, in the shape of a calf. He wasn't just mad, he was pissed! So pissed he took the one thing that God himself gave to him and threw the ten commandments on the ground, breaking them. Mormons place a "golden statue" on top of their temples, the most sacred of all their buildings. Of course Mormons will argue that the golden statue they use is not a calf and they'll argue that they don't worship the statue. But the question is, if you were God's true religion, why would you even toy with the idea of putting a golden statue on top of your most sacred of buildings where you go to worship? It's a taunt to God, "It's not a calf and we aren't worshipping it.... nah, nah." The point being that Mormons are famous for looking at the dumbest things as signs or symbols to reinforce their beliefs. To ignore that the golden statue a top of their most sacred buildings isn't too closely symbolic of the golden calf back in Moses' time is just ridiculous. Whether Mormons worship the golden statue or not is irrelevant. If people are drawn to the church because they see a golden statue and want to know what it is and why it's there, it is exactly what made Moses so upset; people drew their attention away from God and to the golden statue. And so it could be argued that the Mormon church is a church of satan, trying to draw people away from God, using golden statues atop fancy temples. Remember, Christ was born in a manger... not a palace.

    • @caydenthompson126
      @caydenthompson126 5 лет назад +2

      That's your opinion. The fact is that it's a sign of respect for his purpose in the restoration of the Gospel. The trumpet is symbolic of the preaching of it to the world. And the direction of him facing East where Christ will rise during the 2nd coming. We aren't a church of Satan, we worship God and Jesus Christ inside. Jesus taught with parables and symbolism. Our temples are full of symbolic meanings.

    • @echosmyth2282
      @echosmyth2282 5 лет назад +1

      @@caydenthompson126 "Jesus taught with parables and symbolism. Our temples are full of symbolic meanings." Exactly my point. That's why it's beyond ridiculous that you guys don't see the problem with putting a golden statue at the top of your holiest of buildings, regardless of what you clamor to explain the meaning is. Basically your argument is that it would be okay to put a swastika at the top of your temples, as long as your leaders claim the meaning is happiness, regardless of what the rest of the world sees it as. It's very poor foresight from whomever in the church leadership started the tradition. Again, why would you even toy with something that could be so easily misinterpreted? Can you find ANY reference, be it the bible or Book of Mormon, to back your claim of why there is a golden statue atop the holiest of Mormon buildings? So far the score is 1 to zero because we both know in the bible the presence of a golden statue is rebuked.
      "We aren't a church of Satan, we worship God and Jesus Christ inside." Really? First, the Mormon temple ceremony is a blatant plagiarism from the Free Mason's ceremony, which Joe Smith just so happened to join BEFORE he came up with the temple ceremony. Second, Satan is part of the Mormon temple ceremony. Here's another piece of GLARING symbolism that Mormons overlook: During the temple ceremony, Satan instructs the patrons to put on an apron made out of leaves to cover their nakedness. Afterword, God instructs for them to put on garments to cover their nakedness. Guess what the members continue to wear even when entering the celestial room, the most holy of all rooms, where nothing unclean can be because it is where God dwells.... Yup, the apron that Satan instructed you to wear. So mister parables and symbolic meanings, what do you think it is supposed to mean when the members of the Mormon church enter God's presence, wearing something that Satan instructed them to wear, when everything else is white and clean? Would you be brave enough to wear a Catholic cross in God's presence? Doubtful, so why would you be okay with wearing something Satan instructed you to wear in God's presence?
      You've drank so much Kool-Aid, that you don't have the first clue how ridiculous Mormon traditions and ceremonies are, or where they were plagiarized from. The apron makes sense in the Free Mason's ceremony, because as masons, the apron protects their clothes when carrying stones. It does not make sense in the Mormon ceremony, as I've pointed out.
      Lastly, you don't see the irony of Russ Nelson overseeing this dedication of the temple with his concubine at his side? I say concubine, because this is his 2nd wife. As you know, Mormons believe that marriage can be eternal when sealed to your spouse in the temple. Death is merely a temporary separation from your spouse when you're sealed. So if that's the case, talking in parables, it's as if Russ Nelson's 1st wife went to Florida to visit her parents (death) and Russ Nelson invited his girlfriend over and marries her (2nd wife) to hang out with him until he's back with his 1st wife. But please enlighten me, in a religion that preaches marriages are eternally bound when sealed in the temple, how does the church's highest figure, the Prophet, take on another wife, simply because of something as temporary as death?

      @Tamara-yf7zt 5 лет назад +1

      But notice that God is saying "Come outMY PEOPLE". This means that God has people within the fallen churches who are living up to the light they have received. They are living a true faith according to what they know. And once they see the truth of God's Word, which the priests and pastors of these fallen churches have been hiding from them, then they will come out and join with God's true remnant people who "keep the commandments of God AND the faith of Jesus."
      PLEASE NOTE: Is this just a message to come out of the fallen churches? Is it enough to just separate from these fallen churches? No, this is also a call to get Babylon OUT OF YOU! Babylon is fallen, because of her unity with the world and committing sinful things. So even if you come out of the fallen churches, but still live for the world and continue to do sinful things, then you will still be part of Babylon. So a COMPLETE conversion is required in our lives! This is part of the call to come out of Babylon.

    Christ did the one work that was necessary to reconcile us to God, when he shed his blood on the cross, died and rose again. Christ kept the commandments perfectly and gives us His perfection as a gift.
    Jesus was perfect, and he was perfect so he could give his perfection to us as a gift. Consider the completed action in this Scripture:
    For by a single offering he [Jesus] has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified (Hebrews 10:14).
    Lucifer says, “Make you aprons.”
    In effect, do some of it yourself-it’s the only way to preserve some semblance of pride, dignity, and self-respect, and to gain for yourself what you need. That is quite consistent with the instructions every Latter-day Saint is given before going through the temple Endowment Ceremony.
    Your Endowment is, to receive all those ordinances in the House of the Lord, which are necessary for you, to enable you to walk back to the presence of the Father, passing the angels who stand as sentinels, being enabled to give them the key words, the signs and the tokens, pertaining to the Holy Priesthood, and thus gain your eternal exaltation.
    Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). In effect, “I’ve done it for you, all of it.
    Now are you willing to humble yourself enough to simply take it?” As long as you are trying to contribute anything of your own to merit God’s provision of eternal life in His presence, you are rejecting the gift of Jesus Christ’s finished work on your behalf. Maybe the reason your life and relationships are not all you know they should and could be is because you’re still spiritually tied to Lucifer’s apron strings.
    When you’re ready to be free here’s what you do. Call out in humility to Jesus, tell him you’re sorry for trying to contribute to your own worthiness and that you accept God’s forgiveness, perfection and eternal life as free gifts. When you do Jesus will cut your spiritual ties to Lucifer forever.
    Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). (Nowhere in the Scriptures does Jesus say anything about an apron…or grips…or signs and tokens.) You can trust Jesus.

I recommend taking responsibility for your choices and growing in awareness and consciousness, but most importantly give up ideas and habbits for compassion in each moment of now. Attachment to ideas or habbits does not help to be compassionate. Even more so live guidance of the holy spirit.
      Even if Jesus tought about love and how it is even more important that some set in stone cold truth, maybe you could share the chapter and line of where did you find those ideas that you have attached to, and gave away your responsibility in choosing to those lines?
