Yes, the EOS R doesn't have the same image quality for stills as the 5D IV despite having the same sensor. The EOS R has more banding and noise (Check the comparison done by Tony & Chelsea Northrup).

Better image quality is the only reason I'd change and then I'd struggle to stay with Canon verses Sony now. Gorgeous presentation by Gemma as per usual!
Hello Gemma, does the mirrorless camera have 2 slots for my SD and CF cards if not, one of the cards would be rendered useless? Would this new camera be suitable for landscape photography for the enthusiast?
Last statement was the key one. The 5DIV is the workhorse (reliable), while the R is the future (good first step but not there yet). In some ways, the comparison is unfair on the R. The 5D series is mature and exemplary. The R is an advanced prototype and has a lot of maturing to do. Having said that, not everyone needs a professional camera and the EVF and small size makes the R a good option for some users.
Pretty neat video. Loved the simple way of explaining every important aspect. In 2019, do we slight cling to 2016 hardware / software? Also, one of the critical aspects to be considered is the vari-angle LCD screen, that makes life so easy; while shooting over the head shots and ground level clips. As a Canon 6D user since 2014; I am definitely going for Canon EOS R. Waiting for the battery grip for EOS R in India.
Me too, I normally watched but not listened to any presenters in English because my english is very bad (sad) but I can understand her around 60% in this clip, oh ..her voice (English) is really easy to understand. thank you Ms. Gemma ขอบคุณมาก
One problem with EOSR is that to be even considered for an exclusive pro photo shoot, it must be used with the battery grip (with its dual batteries) to even come close to the MK IV in terms of battery life, thereby negating any size and weight advantages of the EOSR. And that annoying refresh rate of the EVF.
Flip out screen is very very very important....Canon: hope you will have the flip out screen in your future full frame dslr like 5d mark v and 1dx series
