It’s hilarious how people think if something is X caliber it needs to be Y length. My 16 inch 6.5 Creedmoor, 13.5 308, 10.3 5.56, all shoot equally as well as accurately as their bigger brothers. Granted I don’t shoot them to a mile but neither do 99.99999 percent of the tacticool children out here. 100 yard, sub inch 3/4 inch groups is all I ask for out of my guns with match armor or my own personal reloads and they all do that.
I apologize for the language TGC. I f'in love these guys and their products thats awesome they're expanding their product line . Its hard tho i also love ballistic advantages barrels and will continue to buy both.
I am pretty happy with my rosco 11.5 bloodline barrel. I put it up against my nephews store bought black rain ordinance 16 inch rifle and my bloodline was grouping tighter groups at 50 yards. We didn't have any match ammo though, but shooting 2 different types of ammo my groups were about half the size of his
Outstanding. Love me some Rosco. And its refreshing for a rep to be that clear of a communicator. Felt like he was giving us the info we need rather than trying to sell us something. Solid coverage here.
John, how did you bust any barrel myths in this video? This feel like more of a commercial. I know you take pride in your work and I don't say this lightly. I watch the video a second time before committing to be sure I wasn't miss-speaking. I feel that you picked a title that was missleading. I really don't mind you interviewing manufacturers and presenting products, I love learning about new products and I greatly enjoy your videos because of their hi qaulity and quantity. However I'm pretty unhappy that you would pick a title like this. It makes me feel a bit tricked because I was expecting a completely different kind of video. I hope you can receive this criticism for what it is, simply feed back. I wish you all the best and hope your channel continues to grow.
Daniel Matthew thanks for your comment. I was a TA in college but I'm no teacher. To be honest I started having relationship problems a few months ago and a therapist recommend a book called "Feeling Good Together" by David D. Burns MD. It's been fantastic. Really humbles you because it makes you realize how human and flawed we all are. It has a lot of useful techniques on how to deel with people you aren't getting along with and I was using this opportunity to practice a few cuz ya I was very unhappy when I watched this video. Book was cheap would recommend it to anyone.
Why is everyone crazy about a non cold hammer forged, non chrome lined barrel for duty use? We are talking about barrels that will be fired through quickly. I'm glad they're using 4150cmv and nitriding, but that doesn't make it high quality. For precision they're probably great, or long distance shooting? But not for general duty use.
Because 99% of the people aren’t doing mag dump after mag dump after mag dump. There is a video of someone shooting 20,000 dollars worth of ammo on full auto using a roscoe barrel. Most people won’t shoot that in 2 lifetimes. CHF chrome lined barrel is extremely overrated and another marketing gimmick to get people to spend 2-3xs the money.
Called and asked if they have/will make a 16" barrel .750 gas seat and rifle length gas.........so i can make another piston driven Dissipator.......lets see if they return my call.......cause none of the other barrel manufacturers seem to give a shit
Bro. Lots of other guys will make that for you. Do you need links? I'm a piston guy myself so I know how annoying it is to find the .750 gas block seats.
Found one but it's 1in9 twist rate. And you'll probably have to confirm the gas seat. But the overall barrel diameter is like .83 www.del-ton.com/Del_Ton_Barrels_p/bl1017.htm
ShotGunner5609 dude you are my 'effing hero! I have tried calling every "custom barrel" manufacturer their is.........none of them have a clue what im talking about! I owe you a beer man!
Correction.. you machine don’t make the barrels for the oem.. last I checked you get blanks from FN like many do at least for non 416 versions. It’s funny the way people look at barrels and are willing to pay soo much for some cause of name when there really are only a handful of actual barrel companies around and everyone buys their barrels or blanks. Either way Rocco makes good barrels for a fraction of the price and are the exact same as you pay more for other places.
Actually John, not only are you incorrect you are on a different planet when it comes to this topic. I invite you to come to our Rhode Island facility where we make every bit of our barrel in-house. The address is on the website, let us know when you are on the way.
BTW, Rated Red did a series of videos on our facility and process (it's on our page). Please educate yourself a bit before typing something up that is out there for everyone to see that may make you sound like you are un-informed.
Maybe, Boo-Boo, if you dislike their product SO much you should unfollow them and become a FanBoy for YOUR Favorite what-the-fuck-ever, eh? Feel free to, um, you know..... Change the Damned Channel if you are so Damned TRIGGERED of a Smowflake? Sack Up, Spud. Ain't nobody got time for your whiney bullshit, to coin your term, umkay?!? Some people's kids, I SWEAR!
The top barrel is at the most extreme angle in relation to the camera lens, but looks alright. The bottom barrel follows the direction the camera is looking on the X and Z axes relatively closely, but looks way off center along the X axis. I really don't think it's lighting. It's like Mr Geissele says, the human eye is very good at picking up symmetry.
That bottom barrel is not close enough to running parallel in terms of an x axis to the camera to give a good view of it. Plus the way the raised ring on the back of the barrel is lighted from the top is causing it to look shifted. I mean, yeah it could be off center but it could also be perfectly aligned and just doesn't come through on camera. Without having the barrel in hand and putting a micrometer to it. There is no way to say with any certainty if the bores are aligned properly or not.
Everyone has some hype that makes their barrel better.

If you accept the velocity loss.
OP apparently has no idea what velocity is. Fudd
Its comforting to know that they "go hard in the paint".
Storm Legion "You do you boo boo."
It's the only way to go sir!
I apologize for the language TGC. I f'in love these guys and their products thats awesome they're expanding their product line . Its hard tho i also love ballistic advantages barrels and will continue to buy both.
They're. Their. There.
demomanmatt That's funny and embarrassing. I did not even catch that. Thank's Matt
Just ordered my rosco 16 barrel, gas block, and tube.
All rosco has is the 1/7 twist. I had to go with a faxon barrel.
@Walter Nyne, Did you go with the Faxon barrel because you wanted a 1/8 or 1/9 twist rate?
@@MaxCruise73 yes I did not want a 1/7 twist rate. But when I got the faxon Barrel it was way too thin. So I had to go with another Barrel maker.
For a budget barell they are ok if I'm building a nice rifle I'm putting a faxon or ballistic advantage barell in my rifle
Just ordered a 300blk barrel and gas block. Love your products.

Love your channel sir!
Rosco is a cool ass company. Definetly the next barrel i buy will be a Rosco. "You do you, boo boo" 🤣
I would like to see what separates them from ballistic advantage and faxon. These three companies seem to have the market cornered.
Agreed
Those barrel are awesome, and coming from an awesome company. Rosco always donates to our charity stuff, and are generally good people to work with.
What about 20” barrels???

Completely agree, I was expecting to see some new interesting barrel design that did something a normal barrel in it's catagory didn't.
You must be a priest or a teacher becuase that was a proper and complete criticism done in a firm yet loving fashion.

Min Privatus as a US Marine my final word usually is Fuckin A!! But well done!!
Min Privatus Wow maybe you ought to cut back on the coffee! It's a Shot Show video they are all commercials. 🐼🐼🐼

Hey this guys an actual 'straight shooter' with the public!
Let's all buy his stuff so he can make us more!
Agreed, we are and try to be at every opportunity that we are given.
Got a 16 and a 8.5 inch 300 blk out. Love them both!!
That is awesome and thank you for allowing us the repeat opportunity to earn your business.
Do they make an 18 inch 223 wylde barrel with matching BCG? That would make an awesome core for a DMR.
chrisloUSA 223 Wilde 18 yes not yet for bcg
BOOTPOG- 21 Thanks.
Soon good sir, soon.
Rosco Manufacturing Looking forward to that.
which is better the purebred or blood line
Garand Thumb Approved.
Why do all manufacturers say "Unlike other manufacturers, we want to hear the consumer and listen to them"?
They're all talking shit on century
Are the gas ports proper for 5.56 or oversized?
Mean Man they're properly sized. For example they're smaller on the 10.5 compared to Daniel defense.
His name was Robert Paulson!
That is a good salesman!
Are these HP/MP tested?
I'm excited to try out a 224 Valkyrie build soon.
is it wrong to say I could listen to gabe talk about barrels all day long?
Most important of all, I need to know where to get the patch you had on you tag that says never forget Robert Paulson
Damn it autocorrect!
Would like to see an 18” mk12 profile barrel that can use the ops inc brake and collar instead of the government profile they currently have
Noted, thanks.
Good sellout but good barrels
Called and asked if they have/will make a 16" barrel .750 gas seat and rifle length gas.........so i can make another piston driven Dissipator.......lets see if they return my call.......cause none of the other barrel manufacturers seem to give a shit
Never mind......they dont answer the phone either.......leave a message......just like all the "other manufacturers". Nothing to see here

who do they OEM for?
c most companies aren't legally allowed to advertise that
Cannot tell you at risk of losing multiple millions of dollars of business good sir. I'm sure you can understand this.
4:45... concentricity is way off on the bottom barrel. Noticeably off on the center barrel.
Whoa, that's awful
It really is. I think these guys are sketchy.
Might just look off due to the camera angle and the way the light is hitting it.

Rosco Barrel Meltdown video!!!
I like the way you think sir!
Great video. This rep communicates clear and solid. Really good information on the company and why it has earned its reputation. Great vid, John!
Thank you good sir!
