I am planning on bringing back some straw bales into my growing as I had good success and used the bales for a good three seasons until they mulched themselves and also provided mulch after that to the garden. I have had good success with fabric containers. I don't think those towers are available in Canada but they're so aesthetically pleasing. I also enjoy my first year with diy Cattle panel in concrete mesh because again "Canada" but I enjoyed some magical moments under my arch of Canary Bird Vine, Tomatoes, Peas.

Straw bale garden is one I actually haven’t tried yet! I’m really glad it works well and is such a good idea. There are other versions of the greenstalk tower that may be available in Canada. I listed one example in the description.
Arches are so wonderful no matter what you grow on it! 🙌💚

Thank you Bill! How big do your potatoes get in the buckets? Such a good idea

@@bloomandwiltgardens you’re welcome! The potatoes get just as big as they do in-ground. My production has improved over the years because I’ve learned to use super fertile soil..rich with manure, wood ash, alfalfa pellets, compost, etc..needs to hold moisture, yet drain very well. They also benefit from regular, deep watering. Best part about the buckets is you can utilize areas of your property that are not suitable for growing-like your driveway, or a concrete pad, patio, etc..they just need sun and water. Also, make lots of large holes for drainage..

@@billelrod1779 wow such good advice here. Thanks for sharing that. I’m sure it will be very helpful to someone who has limited space or hard soil to grow in. 😊
