- Residents in Wisconsin collectively joined their boats to create enough power to move a giant floating bog on the Chippewa Flowage. (Source: KBJR)
Attach long cable to bog, anchor to lake bottom. It can then float around then as it pleases, but can only go as far as the cable will let it.
Attach the chain to what? Thats not one solid piece
@@pamukpicker a few of the trees. After all a few boats can push the whole thing on water, so a few trees can stop it moving
We have similar floating islands here in Maine. Never had them block anything but why not try a few big anchors?
Its a tourist attraction, if they were not moving it would be like any other island

You're telling me, you can't put stakes and ropes/chains to anchor it at a specific part of land?
It has to be touching land somewhere anyways. It cannot just float indefinitely; so why not just attach it to the best spot, that's good for the wildlife, that it wont come loose at?
It needs a few pilons to keep it in place.
