I was skeptical of AUS-10A but it performs just as well or better than premium steels from many manufacturers. As soon as Flytanium drops their scales, the 20.5 will be close to perfect.
Facts. Alot of manufacturers are using premium steels but the heat treat is just shit. For instance microtech has been using m390 for while now but yet their heat treat is not great. I've had a socom and ultratech in m390 lose its paper slicing edge faster than I've had some s30v and aus10. It's really frustrating when you pay for premium steel and see it perform less than something like aus10.
I wanna see the BladeHQ employee that has the stones to flat out shut the Demko AD20.5 down on camera, "No man, this thing is plastic and budget steel for 150 bucks. It's gonna be a thumbs down for me Kurt." That would be amazing, but It looked like pretty much everyone was into it, and a couple looked really excited." That is exactly what I was thinking. I would bet this video was filmed before blade show. Its been out a decent amount of time, and its really suprising that nobody even knew what the Demko name was. Even before they came out with the 20.5, if you are at all into knives you have at least heard of the AD-20.

First bladehq video I ever disliked... ( I know I'm not the first person to call this out) Everyone was like " what's this new and never heard of amazing knife" even though bladehq is one of the biggest knife dealers in the country and it was designed by one of the most prolific knife designers in the industry. Riiight....
160+dollars for AUS-10A steel knife o hell no. I can spend 130+ and get at least s30v. Heck 8cr13mov is around the same level of steel and the knives made of it are in the 60 to 80 dollar range. Ill pass until they have a better steel offering.
So belt sand off .25 from the top spine till it reaches the sharpened edge. Honestly the blade shapes suck. Should of went with a shark shaped blade with gill cutouts.
Got a drop point version about 2 months ago and not feeling it, looking to sell it off, doesn't fit in my hand like I want so if anyone is interested let me know!

I just got a shipping notification for my May preorder from another vendor. Supposedly didn’t get enough in the initial shipment to cover all of the preorders. I guess we’ll see if it was worth the hassle.
You can dye the scales black with rit dye. Takes literally ten minutes and comes out awesome. I dyed mine navy blue a couple months ago and it came out great.
it would raise the impression of authenticity, if you had people criticising the design. for example the plastic (yeah fancy plastic....) scales on a knife of this price category, the distance between the heel of the edge and the place where your index finger lands in a fist grip...
try 4 min. I got the text at 9:01 and only was able to get the serrated sharks foot by 9:04 because the site crashed. Then these were out of stock too by 9:10
Demko knives are irrelevant because Demko knives are not available. Its as easy as it is. We as customers we have so many options today on the knife market we dont need to wait and hope for an cold steel like knife with a lock that is as strong as a cold steel but costs 2 times as much that is nowhere available. Its a sad thing because I generally like the design idea behind Demko knives but it is what it is
Shark lock is a plus on this knife, however, materials suck...cheap handle material, and budget blade steel does not justify the asking price for this blade...and I believe it is made in China. Not a Win for me. Thanks but I'll pass.
Was able to snag the one I wanted in full mind that it would be sold out quick, but in UNDER 5 minutes??!?Thats ridiculous.. The website crashes whenever an anticipated drop comes out, making the website unbelievably slow. It was the same deal for the Black Coated M4 Smock I was also able to get. Y’all have some work to do over at BHQ, cause you screwed over a bunch of people yet again...

From my experience, only things that are really wrong with this knife is the noise it makes. It will annoy your loved ones. And your knife friends that you own one.
