I shot many Passport photos with a pack film camera in the 90’s. The camera store that I worked at had a camera that shot 2 images. We used Polaroid 669.

It's a shame they don't make those films anymore, I would love to be able to use a Polaroid holder on my 4x5 Graflex.

These types of cameras were in use well into the 2000's. When I got my first debit card in the late 2000's (probably 2007 or 2008) they used one such camera to take my picture. Then they cut one of the four shots out, and sent it off with the card application. I probably have the sheet with the remaining three somewhere.

I got into pack film wayyy too late and any fuji stuff is too expensive for me. I pretty much only shoot Polaroid 669 because it occasionally comes up cheap and comes with 20 shots. I personally enjoy the blue tones and makes every pack unique from one another 😁

@@mersea.714 looking back on photos taken on 669 they looked very nice when the film was fresh. 669 and 665 are pretty much the only Polaroid pack films that survive to this day but the clock is ticking with every year that goes by. I could say the same with FP-100c but people will hoard this film until it completely dries out

Polaroid of the past and present are very stringent about their patents and licensing. As the film shooting community it would probably make us very happy if they collaborated to help bring back pack film but realistically as a company they see everyone as competitors.
