- If you've been looking at bags online then you've probably come across the advert for the Nordace Siena backpack. It looks really premium and seems to fit soooo much stuff, but is that bag genuinely roomy or is it just clever video editing?
In this video, I am taking a closer look at the bag itself and its features before debunking whether the amount of stuff showed in the advert actually fits inside.

I have the same Nordace bag in beige colour and it's literally perfect. I use it for the office ever day, as the bag holds its shape really well even when it is not completely full.
I even went on a 5-day trip to Morocco with this bag only (no other luggage), as it can really fit a lot of stuff. I definitely recommend buying it, it is worth the price.

I have used this bag for travel several times, both domestic and international, and I had no problems with it. In fact, I get compliments on it all the time. It is an extremely durable bag that protected all of my technology. I love this bag, and I would recommend it to anyone. My only complaint is the water bottle holder.
Do you think a Xbox one fits in it
I just got this bag a couple weeks ago and love it. The straps are very comfortable; and when I wear it, I can hardly feel the weight of the backpack. I’ll have to see how it holds up with everyday use, but I’m pleased so far. 🙂

I have this bag and love it. Very sturdy and roomy. I have use the bag for travel to high pick pocket areas. I took the leather tabs off the zipper and replaced with pulls that can be locked. It’s perfect

read the review I just posted on this bag. I'm actually buying bags from Amazon now there you get free returns so i can physically see the bag to see if it really works for me now. Not ordering from any more online-only retailers anymore, not for a bag that costs $100.

At Monica Olivia,thanks for your honest constructive review on Nordace,I made the final right decision NOT to buy Nordace…got turned off by them not using durable high quality YKK zippers👎👎👎…I just bought Modern Dayfarer backpack instead,as they offer a really honest,reliable review… very posh,elegant,so many fab features👌👌👌.. am just awaiting for the delivery early next week.

I think the packing cube is just a way to maximize profits. Maybe it’s helpful to keep things orderly and together but it’s not very optimal for space economization. Regardless, great video! Was hoping to check the backpack out so I can gift it to a special someone and this video convinced me that it would be a good choice. Thanks for posting.

An excellent review & road test. Something I look for is robustness. I wonder if the lift handle could be relied upon? Also your point about weather proofed base was spot on. A rubber base would be a really nice feature. Otherwise I think it's pretty decent.

One thing I noticed right off was the zippers. (IMHO) It’s disappointing they’re not YKK zippers and the fabric attached to the zipper looked cheap and not sturdy. I didn’t like the lack of waterproofness or stiffness of the bottom either and with out a nice adjustable water pocket, I wouldn’t buy this bag. Great review on your part!

Nice review! I purchased this and my gripe is that it's very heavy if you over pack it. Yes, it holds a lot and is very stylish but it's simply too heavy for my taste. Also, if packed to the brim, there is limited stretch to move your hand and dig out things. I wish the material had more stretch.

I just got this ( wish I had seen your video first) I was going to use it for a long haul trip since this time I will only have a carry on bag with me. But for me it didnt fit all what I wanted in it ( I tried my best not to overpack) but I ended up useing another backpack that could fit all my needs..
I think in the ad they have a second packing cube which maybe shaves off the little extra space to allow for a waterbottle? Great review anyway, super helpful thanks! Gotta admit im a sucker for something with that many pockets.......

Hold on wont the port cable get damaged if it gets wet?
Water bottle holder is important. Too bad it doesn't stretch to accommodate. Maybe I'll put water bottle in first and then pack everything else to make sure I don't overly stuff it. Thanks! Do you have a backpack you prefer over this?
Yeah the bottle holder is a a shame but still, I think this one is one of the best backpacks in my opinion, mainly because of the shape and separate laptop compartment.

And as the bags look like the one I am looking for I was thinking about getting me one. What made me hesitate was the fact that the bag is being manufactured in Hong Kong or China and I am trying to support our locals. Thanks for this video.... that explained all. Another give way, the original video for the bag packing, you can see a lots soft clothing been used. That explained.
Thanknyou. I’d decided to buy it but now, I just think, despite all the pics of people in adventurous locations... if it rains suddenly... my stuff will be absolutely soaked, possibly ruined and that bag will be a soggy mess. It needs to be rain proof or it wouldn’t be up to an ‘adventure’.
You could waterproof it. Also, I would cut a piece of water proof material, Plastic for the bottom.

Thank you for the review, it is really helpfull. I was wondering; the zippers sound and look like they are not very 'smooth' but 'sharp', don't know how to describe it... Do you understand what I mean? What is your opinion about the quality of the zippers?
I think the zippers don’t seem as good quality as the rest of the bag.

Mine is in the light colour and the zips do not show that much. ALSO I think the wide zips are the point! That’s how the backpack expands...
It was a Christmas gift to my picky husband who absolutely loves it...
PRE COVID 19, when we travelled a lot, this back pack was a booooon!
We also have a couple of the cubes, which are truly great and do the job! Thanks Nordace!

Yes, you need to add a powerbank inside to use as your power source.
Batteries not included. But they don’t tell you in the ad.

Nice review. I think the concept here is very good, but it's just not implemented well. The stitching looks too minimal, especially for the zipper and top handle. I don't like how the zipper teeth are exposed either. I'm still sticking with my Crumpler backpack. Fantastic brand.

Darn. I shoulda looked for this video before I ordered mine! I just got the bag in the mail today. I was excited to get it. But like you feel that it lacks the same level of “posh” than what is showed on IG. I guess I will see how it works out on my next trip. Only thing - My travel water bottle (a Brita) doesn’t fit in the pocket and the bag is empty... so I am Bummed. 🙁
I know, it's a bit disappointing and the bag is not that comfy when full. 😕 I like having all the different compartments though... Shame about your travel bottle!

Are the zippers in the back able to be locked in any way. Backpacks are an easy target for pickpockets.

Hi, I’ve used it a few times and there’s no dirt showing yet so I’ve not had a chance to clean it yet 🙂
The zips aren't covered. Does this mean they're not weather-proof? Water would bleed in through the teeth of the zip. Where does that leave your laptop in terms of keeping dry in the rain? It also doesn't have any studs/feet underneath to protect the base from wear when it's on the ground.
I haven’t tested it in bad rain to be honest and I would feel comfortable doing it to be honest.
I was thinking of buying this for school! Do you think that 4 binders, a laptop, a textbook, a book, and a pencil pouch would fit nicely? Or do you think it would be more snug?
Depends on the thickness of the binders, if I was you I would check the width of the bag online and compare with the total width of the stuff you want to put in it ☺️

There are many sizes for the bag-may I know it was 13, 15 or 17 inch being tested.
When I got it there was just one size, I think this is 15 :)

Im curious to ask whether the bag will be broken the leather handle and the strap easily when it is so heavy with full pack? The official website said it can carry 19L stuff. Im trying to find a large volume backpack when I go out with laptop and some 1-2days cloths... *sigh* Im still thinking of Herscxxl or others... btw, are the zippers smooth?
I haven’t used it enough to be able to tell how the handles will will handle heavy loads. The zippers are smooth yes, which is surrising for such big, chunky ones.
Will this fit under an airplane seat and be used as a personal bag?

It does fit under the seat and the straps offer medium comfort I’d say 🙂

Hello, it’s actually my boyfriend’s backpack and he’s been using it all the time! Travelling, the gym, a bike ride, it works for any occasion 😁 The only disadvantage is that when the bag is quite full, it’s hard to fit anything in the front pocket. It would be better if the bag had a front pocket with more room, for some things you want quick access to.
Was it ergonomic and easy to carry with all that in?
It’s not that comfy with all that stuff in but when using it as a weekend away bag, with just clothes and other essentials it’s perfectly fine 👌🏻

Yes still have it and it’s held up well, although the zip keeps splitting and after a few tries it works again 😆 I did say in the video that the zip feels cheap though!
Actually there have been complaints that people who buy that bag have to buy a super thin and tall water bottle that fits inside that water bottle pocket.
I’ve fit my large water bottle in. You just have to really shove it and once you get the bottom in it slides on down.

Once you put stuff , is it comfortable? That's what I'm looking for . Support on your back. It would have been nice to see review how it feels once you carry it. That's missing concept I think behind their ads.

Good to see that everything fits, but how is it if you carry all that weight on your shoulders..?
Not very comfortable, the back and straps are not designed to support that kind of weight and having the backpack so full.
I thought there should be two separate compartments in the front, not one which is accessible through both zippers 🤔
Yeah, there’s just one compartment in the front, but you get the small slip pocket for sunglasses etc inside.
Other videos shows two compartments, so I am thinking they have changed the design maybe?

It'd describe it as medium comfort. It's not uncomfortable, but it would have been better if the straps were a bit more profiled.

No, the cube doesn’t come with the backpack. It was aroung £15 on its own.

Whould you recommend the backpack for school?
You could fit a fit a few A4 items in it, it’s a good recrangle shape. There’s also the water bottle holder. It may not be very comfortable when heavy though!
Hi there! I’m an engineer student in university. This backpack is amazing for my 15” laptop, textbooks/notebooks/agenda, writing utensils etc.. I can fit so much in here and it carries the weight well! (I have back problems due to previous backpacks, so this was an amazing buy) I definitely recommend this for school!
