Patton's vocals are faster in the demo version, but the one on the album is an experimental-funk metal masterpiece. The samples win me over too. Oh, and it's way more chaotic. Still, this version is great.
This one is a pure funkcore, fundamental just like bad brains with I against I but never seen too much progression

@Dylan Ladner I've done all 3 for many years....wouldnt smoke at all, but out of all the various alcoholic beverages I would have; none of them tasted as good as this kick ass music....goes well with a BBQ.

@@ronperlmanofficial7280 The Heineken clearly was…. I should admit I only drink during what few vacations in the year I get. (Assembly Line Work is demanding shit.) If I’d not been drinking at those times I would’ve recorded something. As an early 20 something the first band I ever made the recklessness of drinking to was Deep Purple. I skip Smoke On The Water and let any other classic album that ain’t Machine Head play start to finish. That probably sounds tame compared to a later choice like Hawkwind. Now at 35 I can tell you with an honest memory that the Keyboards (and theirs live solos) alone are worth the drink as I remember them more than the guitar or bass.
I remember hearing Mr. Bungle after hearing Faith No More and then Tomahawk and then Fantomas…. Yeah, this was weird done profoundly right. Mike Patton should do a project with Les Claypool if he hasn’t already.

Wow! Haven't heard this since the early '90's. Had a copy of a copy of an original cassette and lost it somewhere, sometime. This is the shit and waaaaaay better than the studio version.
Honestly, there demo is way better than the final recording imo.

@@iansmith8263 but the demo is really more solid and less pretentious in its sound. The very same story happened with I Against I by Bad Brains which also has similar production.Though their demo was released almost 20 years later lol. Nobody even remembers the album version anymore
