I’m considering starting an online store where you could buy live crayfish and shrimp, food and treats for them, and many other pet crustacean products shipped straight to you and want to know if you guys think it is a good idea and if you had the option, would you buy from it?
Nice video as always, a lack of uploads during some time is not negative inherently and I'm glad to see when there is a new video from you, hope you're doing alright and looking forward to the next video whenever you have time for it!
I really appreciate your knowledge and videos. I have had success keeping Neocardina Shrimp with my Crayfish and it’s a good way to liven the tank up a bit when the crayfish are not out and about. They do help with keeping the tank cleaner too. Keep up the great work!
Nice video! Also i have a question. I am new at keeping crayfishes, I own procambarus alleni the blue crayfish and it has like see thru white fuzz all over his exoskeleton it looks like fungi or something and also he acts really wierd. He doesnt walk that much and he doesnt consume that much food as before. I tried looking all over the internet to found some hints but could not find some facts, all i could find is that it could be epistylis or vorcitella but i am not sure. Also what treatment should i consider, i heard about salt baths, could that help the crayfish? or even prevent some future diseases? Any suggestions would help. Thanks for making amazing videos!!!😁
Ah yes, this sounds very much like crayfish shell rot or some other kind of shell disease. I would recommend isolating it if you can slowly try to medicate it with some special anti-shell rot medicine you can buy for crayfish from a pet store. However, many different conditions all have similar symptoms so keep observing to better diagnose. You can check out some of my videos about crayfish treatment on my channel for more details. Good luck!
It's hard to tell what species you have exactly, but normally, colour and size are a useful indicator. The most common species are normally: Red Swamp Crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) Dwarf Orange Crayfish (Cambarellus patzcuarensis) Blue Crayfish (Procambarus alleni) Marmorkrebs (Procambarus fallax) Common Yabby (Cherax destructor)
Yes, you will need to cycle your tank before adding any animal, including crayfish. Aquarium QuickStart can speed up this process by a few weeks, but you will still need to wait a while. Hope this helped!

Thanks for the comment!
Great video, ty. Are there any places you recommend for buying Crayfish.
Your local pet store should have some of your local species. I wouldn't recommend buying online at all.
