Aew rejuvenated Dustin's career. The wwe didn't see a value in him anymore. Aew seen potential, that match with Cody at double or nothing was priceless. 💯
Dustin is my favorite out of everyone in the Rhodes family. I wasn't around to see Dusty but growing up watching Dustin he was always a favorite of mine
This was by far the best AEW Unrestricted they have done till now. Love the passion from Dustin. He is so real and genuine. The stories were amazing. Definitely one of the all-time greats of this business. Thank you AEW. Thank you Dustin.
@whyemceeay You don't think those pro wrestlers that put in the hard yards for decades don't appreciate that their careers are being celebrated along with their fans, peers and loved ones?
One of the greatest pleasures I've had was meeting Dustin...at a grocery store of all places. I've enjoyed his work his entire career, and to get to talk to him, and watch him try to get my daughter to not be so shy around him. Just the most wonderful person. I just wish that once he'd had a run with a World Title.
For me, this was quite an overwhelming, passionate experience.. this man, I have followed for almost all of his career.. almost all my life, I'm nearly 40. I first saw Dustin tag team with Barry Windham, in WCW. 💪(BTW, Barry Windham, Never give in.. all the power and God bless you!)💜 These two guys were so electric, full of power and energy.. but so relatable at the same time.. both of these guys from that moment were heroes to me. both them still are to today! It's a personal feeling about someone who you idolize, no matter what they've been through because inside they are a good person and life is never easy.. over coming demons and learning from it, is what makes you a stronger person. Dusty, was a father to all, time for anyone. Dustin, has heart and soul of a true champion, truly gifted. Cody, is still setting the world on fire, leading his way. The Runnels family are born pure entertainers, pro-wrestling heroes and you can't take that away, what flows through your veins. They all deserve Legendary status among the rest of the greats. What an excellent podcast. AEW continues to deliver on all fronts. That emotional moment towards the end where he was speaking about his drug abuse... Woo , powerful stuff. Even Aubrey had to wipe away a tear. AEW really reminds me of the old school, modernized. I'm so happy this is here for us, this company. Thank you Tony Khan & Cody.
Another spectacular interview! Kudos to Tony and Aubry! The segment on where Dustin got his motto of Keep Steppin' was powerful. So, keep steppin' AEW team. You guys have come so far and can't wait to see where you go from here.
Got to have nothing but respect for not only this family but this man and his legendary career. 31 yrs and still bringing classics and helping the future. Thank you Dustin.
2:08 I love the little acknowledgement that marriage doesn't prevent people from screwing around backstage. It's really hard to blame them when you're far away from your family, always on the road, and surrounded by really attractive bodies...
Dustin is one of the best of all time. Ive been watching him since I was a little kid. To see him now puts a smile on my face. Its great to see him finish off his great carer happy and doing what he loves. Congratulations Dustin.
And I thought I couldn't respect Dustin Rhodes anymore. Glad to be proven wrong. Completely one of the best and underrated wrestlers ever. So glad he's found his passion again in AEW. That story about Keep Stepping was amazing.
Seriously, who disliked this? 🤨... Dustin is as real as real of a wrestler you can get. So many ups and downs. Playing a character that he is NOTHING like and played it to perfection. Dealt with drugs and alcoholism (Beating that for 12 years). Lost his father, was separated from Cody for a little while and he overcame aaaaaaaall of that. And is still working in the ring and behind the scenes at his age. If there ever is an AEW hall of fame 🤔
The story Dustin told about him and Dusty and going to rehab had us crying. He was such a good man from all we heard and we miss him so much. So glad that you're clean and enjoying this part of your career. We haven't finished the movie yet though. Always remember, #KeepSteppin

Always remember when Dustin teamed up with Barry, and that amazing match in War Games as part of Sting's squadron. Any body who hasn't seen that match is missing out.
@@anj2099 It was! I had a copy of it on a bootleg tape of 'hardcore wrestling' that fans used to trade in the 90's. I also had on the same tapes a Steve Austin dressed as Hogan ECW promo, the infamous King of the Deathmatch in IWA (with Foley and Funk in the main event), a Japanese match with two women in an electric barb wire match (might have been Aja Kong or Bull Nakano and some blonde lady, but my memory is hazy). Other matches included some Leatherface stuff, a hot spa tag match and two teams fighting in another wrestler's house. Suffice it to say I was a bloodthirsty teenager. Nowadays I'd not watch some of that stuff - as an adult I'm a LOT more sensitive to violence. But it's why that match with Dusty and Cody mattered. Juice can be an important part of a match. But when your name is Flair or Abdullah, then I'd say stay away from the fruit bowl if you know what I mean. But yeah that Dustin Sting War Games match was on there. By that time I'd seen it he was Goldust but I think he was just going face at the time. For whatever reason I didn't clock on that it was Dustin until JR said it one time. JeremiahEcks777 Haha love 💕 it proper wrestling buff ✋ I’m a WCW mark. You’re bang on the money about the Dusty & Cody match, that was heritage and legacy. I did upload the War Games match unfortunately got a copyright takedown from gootube.
I criticized Aubrey the other week for laughing at Billy getting emotional over Chyna's death, but she handled Dustin's emotional response to the memory of his father very well here. Good improvement in her demeanour overall as well, perhaps she's reading the comments and learning to relax more which is great. Probably more so a testament to Dustin's calm energy, but either way, keep it up.
Caine Te Whare Although I would personally say that’s a reach, anything is possible. Regardless, it was still awkward and she’s been behaviourally obnoxious beyond that one instance. Many have echoed the same sentiment about her. But again, I notice improvement in this episode for the first time so I hope it continues.
JeremiahEcks777 he’s had title runs lol , the ic title. I really wish he would bring the whole director heel gimmick he use to do as Goldust if he does turn heel.
His retirement match should be a world title match. Title vs career. In the right place with the right opponent that match would be legendary. Having said that I think he has another 2 or 3 years yet at the level he’s at now. I didn’t realise he was this good until he joined AEW
