Hey! We’re Chris and Jessie and we’re making the best of this life by living out of our self converted Promaster Van. We have a passion for wellness, music, craft beer, and are dedicated to not taking ourselves too seriously. Our goal is to visit all 50 states, 63 National parks, countless breweries, and share our adventures with you!
One day, shortly after we started dating, Jessie mentioned she had the bucket list item to live in a van for a summer. Chris thought this idea was absolutely crazy at first, but after a little more thought and research, decided living in a van would be exactly the kind of excitement he would enjoy. We both love seeing new places, spending time outdoors, and don’t need a whole lot of physical things to be happy. In January 2019, after just 8 months of dating, we purchased our 2019 Ram Promaster and began converting it into our future tiny home. One year later, we finished the build and hit the road!
We’re excited to see where the road takes us and to share our adventures with you! Big thanks to all of you who have supported us and encouraged us to live out our #vanlife dream!
Great video! Thanks for sharing, beautiful scenery!!
Thanks for watching!
So beautiful!
Thank you - It was so much fun!
@@AcrovanAdventures no problem! We really enjoy making outdoor content also
FYI - Those are not cockroaches!!! They are most likely stonefly or salmpnfly adults. Those are primary feeding sources for the amazing trout in the Gunnison River. Ultimately, my ashes will be poured into the Gunnison. That is where my sun sets! Enjoyed your adventure! Great job capturing the arduous trek....both ways!!
I've never heard of this park. Thanks for sharing!
It's beautiful and one of the less-busy parks (especially now). Highly recommend! :)
back up in less two hours! way cool
Speedy quick :)
Never have been to that park before, looks amazing and like you guys had fun!!
You should definitely go! It's so beautiful and you actually have space to enjoy it because it's not so overrun with people. :)
Thank you for this video. Very helpful. Planning on this hike soon. How exhausted were you after? Any energy to do anything else afterwards?
really enjoyed the video! I'm actually looking at hitting this trail in May and I was wondering what time in the morning you picked up the permit? I'm supposed to go on a Monday morning so I don't think it'll be super competitive but I don't want to go all the way there and miss the opportunity to hike this. Any thoughts?
Hey! How exciting!! We actually got the permit the night before and we visited during a summer weekend so I think you'll be totally fine. I think how it works is that they start giving away permits the day before starting in the afternoon so the morning of the hike is only the permits that haven't been claimed yet. If you can, try to get to the park the day before. With that being said, there are ~6 different trails down into the canyon so, even if you don't get the trail you want, you still might be able to get one for a different trail down. The south rim trails always sell out as they're more popular. We did the SOB draw at the north rim. Hope that helps!
@@AcrovanAdventures thank you so much! I specifically picked the North Rim because I knew we'd have a better shot at getting a permit. I checked on the website and it says North Rim permits are available for pickup on the day of the hike. I'm guessing that they probably changed their policy. Anyways thank you so much for the response! You got a new subscriber. ;)
@@matthewbafundo4646 sorry we couldn’t be more help. That’s one of the parks we did absolutely no research on before we went and just happened to get a pass 😂 Let us know how it goes!!
