I have very slow reaction times, but I try to counteract it by remapping my keys so that each of the numbers correspond to all buildings for each type. So I make 1 to select all barracks, 2 to select all archery ranges, and so on. Also mapped a key to use my mouse side buttons for idle villagers and military. This has saved me a lot of time and made me macro more than micro production.

I think you would do just fine with other games rather than rts. People would watch your playthroughs on Starfield or Spiderman 2 because fresh and good games are always cool and you are a cool person too. And you would eventually grow into different viewers

I've been playing Age of Empires games since childhood (mostly 2 and 3), but I'm not exactly good at any of them. I can only beat Moderate AI on AoE2, and Hard on AoE3 and AoE4. I do play Valorant a lot though and I'm pretty good at it. This is what my friends play, so I play with them. I'm also Diamond there. It's a pretty peculiar mix of games, I guess lol
