You just can't beat the quality of the light at / around sunrise (and, of course, sunset) - vastly superior to the harsh light at / around midday. That looked to be a strenuous (or should that be serious!) route and towards then end I started to feel your pain. Well done on completing the walk. Another excellent video...and your choice of music is likewise excellent.
Thanks for this, we're in St Ives soon and thinking of getting the bus to Botallack and walking back to St Ives. We did Zennor to St Ives last year and Penzance to St Ives via St Michael's Pilgrim walk, which was excellent.
brilliant and what a trip! Some sections looks gruelling and technical... the coast paths a humbling experience... I feel your pain and come on Trev!! Cheers mate you ledgend 👍
@@SummitOrNothing I do need to get back on the coast path and catch you up on the miles!! Your welcome mate and look forward to seeing the next one! Cheers Trev
06.00 or 07.00 in the morning is a brilliant time to get up and out, not a soul about and you feel as though everything belongs to you - well I do anyway lol. Real roughed coastline and always something to look at, looks a great walk. The path looked real clear and easy to follow with not too much up and down - my type of walk, especially on a day like that but an emotional slog puts a bit of a damper on it lol, cheers Alan
Was a tough old walk first thing in the meaning, and once that heat started baring down got real hard going but we'll worth it though for the amazing scenery. Cheers for watching Alan .
Thank you for the video, what a beautiful day to hike. We are planning to hike that section in September 2020 depending on the situation with the virus, hope you are all safe and well. I hope we can see this amazing area in a few months, fingers crossed from across the pond. Stay well!
Thanks Andy - its a beautiful area this - was a hot morning though, knocked me for six. Hope you get to see it yourselves before too long. All the best and stay safe!
Well done Trev . I did Gwithian to Zennor . Lost a sense of humour by the time I got to Zennor. However looking back it is the most remote and beautiful bit of coast
Always a bit of a culture shock walking into Porthmeor off that path in the summer; peace and solitude one minute, battling through hordes of sunburnt lobsters the next 😅 thanks for the walk 👍🏻
its all about them early morning starts, love the energy boost hiking with the sunrise and also the lack of people on trail makes it well worth it!! sweet vid dude
Yeah, it was magic to be out there on my own at that time of day - didnt take long for the sun to bare down on me though. Cheers for watching, was a great walk.
A lovely video again :-) And such a fantastic path in wonderful weather. You are doing some long stretches :-) But when you start at 6 AM, you have the whole day ahead :) We walked from St. Ives to Zennor where we had an overnight stay, and the next day from Zennor to Pendeen. Both stretches were really nice and not too long or strenuous. The only really draining stretch was actually the loooong road uphill from the path, past the Geevor mine museum and up to The North Inn, Pendeen, where we stayed one night. This is my third time (done it both ways) from St. Ives -> Zennor, and I just love that path :) The views are wonderful and the heather is out of this world and we spotted some seals at the Carracks. Happy walking :-)
Oh how lovely to spot the seals. I haven't on my walks for a while but the other day whilst on our Cornish holiday we saw one swimming off the rocks when we were bathing at Porth chapel beach. Thanks for watching,Torrunn. All the best.
@@SummitOrNothing They are really lovely. We have spotted seals in several places. Also in Porth (Polly) Joke. If you want a closer look at them, I will recommend a "Snorkelling with seals" trip with Scilly Seal Snorkelling at The Isles Of Scilly :-) I did that this summer. It was really fun :-) And I brought my GoPro and took some underwater footage while I was in the sea with the seals :)
@@TravellingTorunn That sounds great, Torunn. I will go back over the SWCP when I have finished it and spend a bit more time at certain places. I want to do a boat trip or two, hopefully see some Baskin sharks, and I would love to try jet skiing too off of Newquay. The seal snorkeling is now on my list too. Thanks 😁
@@SummitOrNothing Sounds like some amazing plans :) Just a tip: The snorkelling on Scillies should be booked quite some months ahead. It is very popular :-)
Is your next video going to be walking along the ridiculously lovely St.Ives Bay/Towen Sands? Proper lovely beach that. I've been on holiday there so much. You should walk it at sunset/dusk/night or something. You'll see the bats in the dunes and the city lights behind ya.
I've already passed through Town Sands in this video -ruclips.net/video/BttrWwpvfoQ/видео.html Once I have gone through the whole SWCP, I will be popping back to spend more time at places of interest, so will bear the twilight visit of Town Sands in mind thanks for watching!
Hi Yvonne. Yea this was a fantastic section. I got the bus back from St Ives. Was a nice journey too on an open top bus along the coast road revisiting every where that I had just walked. Good luck on your own walk and ENJOY!! Thanks for watching!
Nice video, landscape a mix of nature and history, some good camera work too. At times it looks as if you have a 'ghost cameraman' with you! I sympathize with you suffering in the heat. Perhaps a broad-rimmed hat or even a sun umbrella might help?
Hi Neil - thanks for watching - for this video I was using the Panasonic HC-X920 but the lens has since misted up so I have upgraded to a Panasonic HC-VX1 - here's a link in case you are interested - amzn.to/2YoHvZK
@@PaulMaloney Yea... I just make it up as I go along. On this outing my wife and kids were gonna pick me up the following day, but I saw there were buses running once I was there so thought I'd just bus it back. As for parking, I did a bit of research on the internet, read that the beach carpark at Sennen allows overnight parking but once I got there found out only til 10am the following morning. D'oh! Then I spent an hour driving around until I found a housing estate to ditch my car in.... So, as you can tell, I'm not as organised as you may think 😂😂

I've hardly explored Cornwall at all and I feel like I'm missing out. It looks incredibly beautiful. :)
It is stunning. Especially along the coast. Thanks for watching!
Good one Trev, the coast there does indeed look like Exmoor in places.
Sure does, a bit of Exmoor and a bit of Dartmoor with some beautiful rugged coastline to boot. Love it! Cheers for watching, Steve!
