    I love so much how you include Benjamin and Aaron in the videos. Your videos are personal and I feel like I am right there with you. One of my favorite things about them. You guys are super special. Oh and I totally love my T-shirt. I wear it all the time. I think I will order the sweatshirt next. Just love them.

      @@lisamiller5162 that's what I was going to say. Aaron is involved and supportive. They work as a team. Mine wants what I want but is way less cooperative. But...he is building me that nice circular garden....

      @Bamboo4U2 6 лет назад +1

      @Linda Lee, I know what you mean. I thought Laura was saying "in the future," not "next week," lol. I can picture them talking:
      Laura: "I'm thinking of a winding, meandering path toward the vegetable garden and all along it, I can add, I don't know, some perennials and maybe some statuary...."
      Aaron: "Okay, let's rip out all the grass tomorrow!"
      Laura: "Awesome, I'll go rent the sod cutter!"

    Love all of this. I love when you kind of film random things in the middle of projects! It feels like real life and I love seeing that. Benjamin is honestly TOO cute and he is giving me baby fever!! Also, I would totally watch you and your mom do things for an entire video. I kind of hoped you would show a bit of you two making your applesauce. I just enjoy your videos so much!!

I’m so excited to see the progress and the final results. Benjamin is getting so big, he’s such a handsome lil man. Once again Russell shows up to show off for the camera 📸 You have such a beautiful family. I would like to thank you and Aaron for sharing the journey with all of us ❤️😊

      Maybe it can go out to the universe the spare lot could be purchased ( by a group or individual) for a neighborhood park, with a gathering space for softball, baseball, soccer,football, play area,etc.for all the neighbor kids, grandkids, cousins (moms and dads too). Just s thought...

    I'm excited to follow along with the progress of this project! I have a similar project in my backyard. But I can't afford to hire anyone to help. And, I don't have lawn back there, it's all Creeping Charlie weeds that I'm having trouble getting rid of. Ugg AND my slope is much greater. You could sled down it, when it snows. BUT, I'm looking forward to watching the plant choices you make, Laura. THANK you, Aaron!!! You've got the ball rolling now! Yay!!!

  • @sarahbutler9411
    @sarahbutler9411 6 лет назад +8

    Oh my goodness. What a great blank slate! I feel like for the statues between the maples it would be a really cute to do something like the 4 seasons statues similar to what your parents have in their garden that you showed in the garden tour as a way to incorporate something from your childhood in your own garden. It could even be taken a step further and plan the plants to have ones around each area to showcase the season, like a small lilac or spring bulbs around spring, summer annuals around summer, mums for around autumn, or like a red twig dogwood or holly around winter.
    I'm super sentimental in my gardening choices and have a tendency to gravitate toward plants that have names of my family members or varieties that remind me of my parent's house. This year I planted a couple 'mary lou' dahlias since my mom's name is mary lou. I'm trying to get a hold of a plant with the name 'eleanor' for my daughter for next year.

    Hello Laura - I love how you're using more 'foliage' (regional dialect haha) color in your arrangements. It's a sign of a more mature gardener. Have you ever tried dividing your mature Hosta and inserting them in a container? It's stunning and the arrangements will over winter in your garage...so easy and doesn't cost anything. A little tip for your subscribers.

    A path curving around hydrangeas and lilacs with beds of annuals and perennials would be gorgeous. That is what I'm working toward in my small yard, got a good start this year. Put hydrangeas and burning bush along the alley fence and widened the flower bed, will continue to widen and plant over the next few years.

I can't wait until spring! Thanks again for another inspiring video. Oh, Benjamin is BEYOND adorable and I love seeing him in your videos...Russell too!
