Politicizing the civil service, military, National Guard, or the domestic security agencies. 4. Using government surveillance against domestic political opponents. 5. Using state power to reward corporate backers and punish opponents. 6. Stacking the Supreme Court. 7. Enforcing the law for only one side. 8. Really rigging the system by voter suppression. 9. Fear Mongering 10. Demonizing the opposition. (Stoking “Lock her up” and stating your predecessor was not born in America, etc., etc.)

White British Aristocrats have a strangle hold on power via their secret dealings, and secret social constructs that allow them to form Cabals behind closed doors. Their power is perpetual because they've locked the general population out since the very beginning (E.G.: Free Masonry) . They put up a facade of Americans being able to ascend to their level. While some people do get to high levels from humble beginnings , they ARE NEVER EVER able to do so unless they swear some sort of oath or allegiance to whatever secret cabal is named their handlers. So the average American will never be free, if they want big political success they will be beholden to wicked people.

my apologies. i'm going to hijack your comment. mr. paul, let me explain the difference between random, garden variety murder, and lynching. the typical motive for murder- the reason they did it- falls into one of these categories: love, lust, loathing, or loot. let's skip over loot. you'll notice that the remaining three are emotions- strong emotions. we'll now cross off two of those emotions- love and lust. now what we have left is the emotion of loathing. you might say to yourself "yes! that's the one. people who murder an innocent unarmed black man surely do it out of a loathing for him or his kind". that does happen, and we call that a hate crime. a crime wherein someone holds such contempt, such hatred, such loathing for black americans- or some other group-that they are triggered to actually murder one. but loathing is not always the case. which brings us to the special case of lynching. lynching is without emotion. the lyncher doesn't loath his victim. he feels nothing for his victim. his victim is not a person he loaths, is not even a person from a group he loaths. HIS VICTIM IS NOT A PERSON. lynching is killing for sport. like in texas today, where good ole boys go out to hunt and kill wild pigs. not for food. they hunt them because feral pigs are considered destructive to society. hunting feral pigs is a challenge and it's just downright fun. hunters don't loath the pigs. they don't harbor a deep and abiding hatred of the pigs. no. they don't gaf about the pigs, how they feel- that would be a ridiculous concept to wild pig hunters. they kill the pig, string it up, take some smiling pictures, and go celebrate the hunt with a few beers. mr. floyd was not murdered because chauvin hated him in particular, or black people in general. mr. floyd was murdered because chauvin doesn't give a flying f*k about mr. floyd, or any african american. chauvin killed mr. floyd in an emotionless, sociopathic display of sport. THAT, mr. paul, is not garden variety murder. it's not even a hate crime. it is a level above-below?- those heinous crimes. THAT is lynching. and if america ever stands even a slim chance of overcoming our 'peculiar' history and achieving the 'more perfect union' we deserve, you need to learn and FEEL the difference.
@@nonyabizness.original to be fair to Rand, he is concerned with the unintended consequences with the legal language of the bill not the common sense understanding. The doctrine of qualified immunity for police officers was invented by judges and prosecutors from a statute the intended to have the exact opposite effect. Rand might be wrong, but unfortunately there is a chance he’ll be right. Even hate crimes disproportionately convict minority groups. The intent of the law may not match how it is interpreted in the long term. Hopefully Rand is wrong here, since the bill is likely to pass without the amendment - eventually. But tens or even hundreds of people may be adversely affected by this bill - people of all a races. And a nontrivial amount of which the bill was intended to protect.
murder is illegal but putting any bodily injury as lynching is crazy and people could go to prison for a long time for petty crimes that makes this bill dangerous.
He's a libertarian... it's like an extreme LibDem or a semi-anarchist. Libertarians are against state intervention, they want to deregulate and privatise everything, except a few things like the military and the justice system, but everything else in their view must be run by the private sector and taxation should be kept to a minimum, even eliminated altogether. The state is seen as the enemy of freedom and freedom for them is by far the most important value. That would be a rough overview of their beliefs. His point was that a change in precise terminology was necessary to prevent abusive use of the law, so it's not that he objects to the general idea of the law, he just wants a few minor changes. I'll let you decide if he's right or not, but I will say this: detail is extremely important in law and laws can even backfire if they're not properly written.

Yeah guys haven't you realized white people just go around lynching? It's legal don't ya know? Lmfao wow you idiots. Murder is illegal, don't worry kiddies, nobody is coming to get ya hahaha
Every young nation goes through growing pains. We the majority of people of color, and white people, of which I am one, are heading in the right direction. Let's not undo the progress that has been made, and paid far too often in heartache, blood, and loss of God given life, and dignity. "These people" are not the majority, nor are they the heart of our country. There are many paths to where we should be, but not one of them is paved with ease or wishful thinking. Non-violent action was, and still is the way forward. Blaque Roze asks "Why are we so humble?" The greatest men, and women in history, were humble. But, they were not just humble, they believed in non-violent action. Let's not confuse being humble with weakness, because it isn't the same. M.L.K.'s non-violent plan of action was successful, but his commitment to "All men are created equal" seemed to have lost steam after losing his life to a; non-humble, violent, cowardly racist with a rifle--and a plan. His plan was successful, in the killing of a giant of a man, not the God given rights of the movement. A plan to place all people on equal footing is a much more challenging action, and should be taken by all people who desire equality; intelligent people, brave people, and people with a plan that will have lasting effects for centuries to come.
Rand Paul is a very smart man and anyone who has ever listened to him knows that even Corey Booker. Whatever the reason is he is holding this up im sure is just.
You're not wrong. Rand Paul does whatever it takes to get free publicity. Without it he would actually have to spend some of the campaign donations he gets on publicity, rather than tucking so much of it away in overseas accounts and pretending he did. It's REALLY obvious that Rand Paul has not read this bill. He, at best, had some junior clerk tell him some confused high points that he is getting wrong. He voted NO on the 9/11 responders bill because that bill extends funding to the first responders until 2090, decades after the last victim would have passed away. Therefore, taxpayer dollars will go into the pockets of greedy individuals the law is not intended to compensate long after the heroes are gone. Here, Senator Paul is correct in that Booker's bill is diluting the meaning of the word "lynching." Lynching is already a federal hate crime and it only includes murder. This bill is terribly written, and would imprison people for any physical confrontation with a member of another race or ethnic background.

Nobody with a drop of sense would want that bill passed, but you would be right there saying, "You don't want people to have fun!!" Stop reading the name of the bill. Read the text. What Senator Paul is alluding to is exactly what you would be guilty of if this bill was to pass [as it is]. The mere case of you saying "sit down and shut up Rand" would be grounds for an arrest. In winch this could be perverted to a court case where you could end up in jail accused of conspiracy to commit a lynching. I don't think you would want that , and I know I wouldn't want it. @Shane Guinn The problem is it does not specify what is lynching. Senator Paul wants the bill to be more specific so that people don't get extensive punishments for small things.
@The Last Toilet Roll, you don't know the intentions of the person doing the punching, is it to incapacitate the receiver of the punching, and then proceed with lynching? Besides backroom deals are always made by the defense and prosecutor. Charges get reduced, plea bargain, community service instead of jail time has happened before. And it is to the judge to pass punishment. If the intention is to willfully harm, then is a crime🙎
@@Paul-fp3qn , that's his reason for weakening a bill that already passed. Which he gave his support, so why is he signing a different tune? Once a person gets a lawyer, the back dealings begin.... Is it a first time offender, was the reason for the attack a rascist sour? Or is the person trigger happy in showing off 'Im the scariest person in here', and likes to flexes muscles to prove a point? Those questions come into play when the offender gets in front of the judge to receive sentencing
@The Last Toilet Roll, you're right I don't know the intentions of my fellow pedestrians while walking, unless ONE of them puts their hands on me with the intention of harming me and that equals a shove, a kick, a slap, a push, verbal assault, etc. The meaning behind the action is what matters, and that's what needs to be addressed by laws. Weakening a bill that address the rights of the victims and the consequences of the attack, e.g. punishment is idiotic.

@Björn Björk I agree. Senator Paul isn't against making this law. He wants it amended so that if a white person accidentally runs into a black person in the grocery store and leaves a bruise on them, they can't be prosecuted for lynching.
This law, as it is currently written, would make it to where black people would be virtually untouchable, even if they are breaking the law. For example, if a white man is in a car accident with a black man and the black man gets hurt, the white man could be prosecuted for lynching. If a white woman and a black woman are going for the same dress in a bin sale at Ross' and they crash into each other and the black woman gets a concussion, the white woman could get prosecuted for lynching. If a police officer is arresting a black man for a suspected crime and the black man gets a scratch, the police officer is accused of lynching and the black man goes free, guilty or not. This is what Senator Paul is trying to prevent.
This is how you negotiate. You ask for the extreme amount first. Make the other party counter offer in the other direction. Use leverage and rhetoric etc. It’s just politics.
He wanted an amendment to it because it was so broad, for example it’s so broad of a white women slaps a black women and says a racial slur to her, that would fall under the lynching bill

@Matt manning You need to read up on the law and the definition. Hell, read the bill itself. Remember you can be charged for anything. A jury of your peers has to decide whether or not it happened. Rand Paul is omitting the context used when invoking the charge to play you.
@Matt manning how are you defending yourself if you lynch someone? I've seen people lynched when I was a kid; the first time was when I was six. They killed the woman that was my babysitter. The cops and the clan were always walking around proudly in open. So nothing was ever reported and the wrote it up as a suicide. She was pregnant and was dating a white man who found out she was pregnant and wanted to get married and raise the baby as a family. He beat her and stormed out. That noght someone broke her apartment door down and they found her dead the next day. This was in the mid 80's and now that I am a full grown man who has served time in the military to get the money to go to school and become a lawyer. I plan to return to my home and set the sins of the past straight. I will dig through the dirt and I will take the threats to make it so she and her baby can be moved to her church cemetery that rejected her for suicide. I will bring her murderers to justice. Even it kills me. If all you do is joke about it then your no better then those who killed her. I'm a white man that loved his babysitter that help raise him becase she was a beautiful soul.
That was a horrific thing that they did to a child. That was Ms. Tills. Only child. NOTHING WILL EVER UNDO WHAT THAT CHILDS FAMILY HAD TO LIVE ON & HAVE THAT PAIN IN THEIR HEARTS.

There has been a long-running trend toward more racial and ethnic diversity on Capitol Hill: Each of the previous four Congresses broke the record set by the Congress before it." We saw the Irish do the same in Cincinnati burning and killing black settlements. The Irish were treated horribly so they looked for people more marginalized to vent their frustrations. The Irish could quickly disappear into American society. They had the support of the Catholic church and built communities that traditionally were not raided and destroyed on the whims of others. They became the police dominating police departments along the Eastern seaboard. They could change the lilt in their voice and assimilate. They took the presidency with the election of JFK. Mr S I understand Rand paul’s concerns with the bill but honestly a slap in the face is just an assault case how many of them will turn into federal racial cases.. Twoofer Derper You can’t trust what Rand Paul is saying as being true. As a former Ron Paul Libertarian I know this. Rand Paul has a video on his RUclips with a chart behind him lecturing about government spending and waste which sounds good until he provides some ridiculous unbelievable example which used to be an old tactic to use against opponenets, that is to say that so and so approve grants such as spending a million dollars to a university to find out if dogs like watching tv. If you are good at figuring people out, watch the body language and explanation given without any real details from Paul and most of his time is spent not reading out facts of the bill. Then watch how Booker states basically everyone agrees with the bill even Paul, and Booker doesn’t even try much to argue against Paul’s ludicrous statement and of all examples he provides a black woman slapping a Jewish Woman and with his history we are to believe he is concerned ? GTFO! Republicans get a real kick out of being sociopathic stalwarts and they relentlessly did it and made a pact to do it to Obama. After this you can be sure that Rand went on the usual celebration and propaganda tour and the Republicans thanked him for saving the White Supremacy base some of them depend on and got him into office with help from Alex Jones. Rand’s attempts to grandstand a little appearance for right-wing propaganda outlets to play was done well. Rand makes it appear as if he is asking for just a reasonable logical change and then the bill gets stamped and starts today yay... err no, don’t work like that and that is the goal to send the bill back to stall it because Republicans need all the White Supremacy supporters money and votes. And I’m sure the private jails, investors, and officuals thank Rand Paul for saving them from accountability and being charged for a modern day lynching federal charge which would be harder to get out of than a state murder charge that officers nearly always get out of. The ignorant Fox Viewers will say “Wow all Rand asked was a little amendment and they’d have there bill all set.” As bill could simply be amended and approved on the spot. But compulsive liars are bad at lying and if you rewatch you will see Rand talk about how the lawyers said his language would work out and that they take long just at that step alone. What a dumbass, in attempt to defend himself to show he tried to get the bill worked out for months, he reveals at the end that his final argument of it being simple request to get the bill done today is BS, especially since it’d have to go back and revoted on. I never knew Rand was this disgusting. Welp Rand took one for the team and I hope he gets dragged through the mud for it and at least a few moderates are sickened enough to write him off. Him and his bs explanation worrying that black people going to bars and slapping people could get 5-10 years or a modern day lynching charge.

He just wants the word lynching to be clarified because they leave it generalized
Lynching is against the law.
All of this hurts so deeply. Senator Harris and Booker, thank you.
my apologies. i'm going to hijack your comment.
mr. paul, let me explain the difference between random, garden variety murder, and lynching.
the typical motive for murder- the reason they did it- falls into one of these categories: love, lust, loathing, or loot.
let's skip over loot. you'll notice that the remaining three are emotions- strong emotions. we'll now cross off two of those emotions- love and lust.
now what we have left is the emotion of loathing. you might say to yourself "yes! that's the one. people who murder an innocent unarmed black man surely do it out of a loathing for him or his kind".
that does happen, and we call that a hate crime. a crime wherein someone holds such contempt, such hatred, such loathing for black americans- or some other group-that they are triggered to actually murder one.
but loathing is not always the case. which brings us to the special case of lynching. lynching is without emotion. the lyncher doesn't loath his victim. he feels nothing for his victim. his victim is not a person he loaths, is not even a person from a group he loaths.

Speak!!!! I totally why tf are we so humble.
I wish I'd win Powerball, but first I have to buy a ticket. Words have changed lives, marching has changed minds, and wishes have changed nothing.

I say 2 terms like the president, or maybe 3x 4-year terms for House of Reps, 2x 6-year terms for Senators.
I want it extended to all federal and state elected and appointed positions as well as 20 years max for Supreme Court, for better or worse.
True balance of power maybe.
And definitely not lifetime retirements... they may not even qualify for social security or have to pay more of a percentage as their portion because of higher income...

The moment you put your hands on somebody with the intention to harm them, it becomes a crime.....
Or is the person trigger happy in showing off 'Im the scariest person in here', and likes to flexes muscles to prove a point? @The Last Toilet Roll, you're right I don't know the intentions of my fellow pedestrians while walking, unless ONE of them puts their hands on me with the intention of harming me and that equals a shove, a kick, a slap, a push, verbal assault, etc. The meaning behind the action is what matters, and that's what needs to be addressed by laws.
The law as it is currently written would segregate our country further.

Do you think that’s a coincidence? They want their constituents uneducated and poor, so they can continue to be manipulated through elementary social media posts and convinced to vote against their own interests (hence their horrific public school funding). If everyone was equally educated to some determine, they wouldn’t be falling for one of the most obvious scam artists in history. Matt manning Nice way of showing YOUR true racist feelings, along with your ignorance. I pray you don’t have children to share your racist views.
Do YOU know the definition? A bruise is not a lynching.
why are we even having this conversation. murder is murder.
There is a difference.
@RXSTAR the fact that someone wears a badge is not a reason to not be held accountable for the murder.
@@janicefarmer2387 yea it is it’s just that ppl don’t put them in jail bc police is white ppls manager
@Frank Reynolds looting isnt murder

That was a horrific thing that they did to a child. That was Ms. Tills. Only child. NOTHING WILL EVER UNDO WHAT THAT CHILDS FAMILY HAD TO LIVE ON & HAVE THAT PAIN IN THEIR HEARTS.
That is all true but you do not include hitting someone as lynching that is CRAZY but then the left are nuts!

Shut up Kamala
Shouldn't be slapping people or putting hands and sometimes bite your tongue when you want to open your mouth in a negative manner. Don't hurt my feelings says DeSantis in Florida.

Interest convergence stipulates that black people achieve civil rights victories only when white and black interests converge.
Chris Rock got a good slap🤣
I think it's time to start looking at getting out of this country. Its all madness now.
This whole world is crazy😭
I've been thinking that a lot lately.......
@Nathan Lange I don't need your permission or opinion. This goes way beyond what's currently going on. Clearly you believe everything you see on the news
I'm headed to Germany.
Nathan Lange a country is nothing but people. Have people? The people in charge of the government, state, legislation, who manipulate the economy and financial systems to gorge on profit due to endless predatory capitalism.
Have they been good to us ? 😂
Denmark is Nationalizing private companies as part of their pandemic response to keep people fed, safe, paid and employed. 75% of salaries are covered. They are also covering the basic survival expenses for businesses. Essentially freezing the economy in place.

America however..... is an embarrassing mess displaying the true nature of our systems and those in power.
The country is run buy a plutocratic oligarchy.
Companies that have been making billions in profit year over year begging for money in two weeks, oil companies, airlines etc etc because all they do is gorge on profit and prop up on debt. 80 percent of the stock market is owned by 1 percent.
Those disgusting companies could fail and go through packaged bankruptcy which doesn’t screw the workers but of course not.
They need trillions in “bail out money” again to buy back stock to prop up stock prices and company values for executives and shareholders, It’s all about the people at the top.
Not to mention a for-profit healthcare system that is tied to employment.
We get nothing.
This country is disgustingly flawed.
Many people are extremely glad they live in other first world countries and not in the USA.
Only 3 African American senators. The issue starts from the top. Glad they voiced their disgust with Rand’s statement, he’s a coward
White people make up over 75% of USA population and quoting an article from 2019, "More than one-in-five voting members (22%) of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate are racial or ethnic minorities, making the 116th Congress the most racially and ethnically diverse in history. There has been a long-running trend toward more racial and ethnic diversity on Capitol Hill: Each of the previous four Congresses broke the record set by the Congress before it."
I think there's a lot of opression from the rich onto the poor
@@Jordan-lu7ce Youre high. Irish Americans were discriminated against when they first arrived. So read your history and understand not all whites are created equal as the same as not all people are created equally through economic standings.

@@nicholashaert4816 not sure of your point. He was pointing out how things are progressing. And yes we know well the plight of the Irish as they turned their ire upon black communities. The worst riots to this day were the NYC Draft riots where after five days of burning raping looting and murder, Irish immigrants/citizens left 2000 (mostly black, but some of ther own killed by soldiers) dead in the streets and waterways of Manhattan. We saw the Irish do the same in Cincinnati burning and killing black settlements. Polish, Germans, Catholics, Italians, Slavs have all been marginalized and then accepted into the American family. Wasn't so easy for blacks. Yes the Irish WERE treat poorly both at home and here. Past tense. Absolutely no comparison.

They will pay it's coming
I pray that Rand Paul or others will not succeed in weakening this anti-lynching law. I pray that persons of color will not have to live in fear in this country.
Mr S I understand Rand paul’s concerns with the bill but honestly a slap in the face is just an assault case how many of them will turn into federal racial cases.. And they can change the charges if they feel it is not egregious enough of an attack so I don’t think it would be out of conrtol. And even in the event it does get out of control just throw away the bill next year. Its not that hard
Mr S What do we have to lose by trying to pass these type of bills
Why do you only pray for people of color not to live in fear. Do only people of color have fear? I am white and I to have experienced fear. In my youth I was robbed by a black man and again robbed as an adult but by a white. So you can see I'm a equal opportunity victim. I nether fear white or people of color, I fear bad people no matter their color.

Could you be more of a bigot?
2020, and the bill on the house is "anti lynching" God!!!!!
Him and his bs explanation worrying that black people going to bars and slapping people could get 5-10 years or a modern day lynching charge.
uhg. cory cory cory; mellow drama queen of the senate as always.why is it always the same ones? PASS the damned bill!
