You forgot to mention The Hunger starring Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon. The opening scene is with a cameo by Bauhaus playing Bela Lugosi's Dead - the film is perfection.

If/when I have kids, they're seeing the Addam's Family (both the movies and the original show), the more kid-friendly Tim Burton movies (which is most of them), and The Series of Unfortunate Events (both the movie and the Netflix series). I'm sure there's more that I could come up with, too, but that's what comes off the top of my head.
Edit: Sure enough, I came up with more. There's also Coraline, The Dark Crystal, Boxtrolls, Paranorman, Casper, and Mirrormask. Just sayin', there's better things out there than the Descendants for family-friendly stuff lol.

Good selection. One thing about return of the living dead not mentioned.
To me one of the most death rock scenes is from this movie, scream queen actress Linnea Quigley aka Trash is dancing topless on a tombstone at night listening to 45 grave, party time, a founding band of the la death rock scene. Great soundtrack.. it's up there with Bauhaus and the Hunger scene...iconic

Let Me In and Let The Right Ones In are two awesome dark gothic movies, on the surface they're a kind of dark romantic story but once you look past the surface it's a dark depressing story about manipulation
    Watch it!

Some of my favorites that you all didn’t mention are 1. The Hunger (I mean, the movie starts with Bauhaus performing Bêla Lagosi’s Dead!!). 2. Gothic (the very stylized story of Mary and Percy Shelly’s famous visit to Geneva with Lord Byron) 3. Both Crimson Peak and Pan’s Labyrinth (because Guillermo del Toro is such a visionary!!)

    Blade Runner (1982)
    Martin (1978) by George Romero
    n of course
    Harold and Maude (1971)
so sweet n dark but it doesn't fit the goth aesthetic overtones but the film in general is full of dark humor and existentialist drama
    The craft (1996)
    Fairuza Balk is amazing!
Home Room (2002) is ok, not the best but it has Busy Philipps as a goth n she looks decent
(I own all those named in this clip and everything I named above except for Martin. Still searching for a collectors edition )

The chick is such a 'pick me girl'/'I'm not like other girls' kind of chick. Annoying. Nosferatu? Seriously? That is a super well known classic. I would say most people who know of it have not seen it, but know what it is because it is the first vampire movie and one of the most well known silent films of all time. Bram Stokers' family sued over it when it came out. I don't know any goth girls who aren't into some kind of horror and even if they are just into goth for the style and hate horror, who cares. Stop gate keeping. Knowing Nosferatu isn't you entering into an elite club, it is you knowing that silent films existed. I watched The Exorcist for the first time at the age of 4 for a midnight viewing on Halloween, and a lot of people can say something similar. IDK, probably making too much of it but everything Penny said had to do with her being a unique and manic pixie dream girl who isn't like other girls. Can you not talk about something without indicating how unique you are for liking something millions of others have enjoyed? Probably being too harsh because I can't remember a thing that the men said, but annoyed about the 'not like other girls' mentality to focus on anything else. The gate keeping of what is goth was too much though. If people like goth style then they can call themselves goth. Horror is my favorite genre of all time but I dress in suits everyday. People can enjoy a style while enjoying different genres. Not sure why I am so annoyed but this set me on edge, found Penny to be rude and gate keeping. Let pink flower rainbow chicks love horror, and let chicks who watch romantic comedies dress goth. IDK, seemed rude and unnecessary, probably like this comment. Enjoy.

    That's a pretty bad take.
Since goth is a music based subculture excluding people for not watching a movie is kinda lame
