I've met several Reiki practitioners throughout my life, and you perfectly embody all the necessary characteristics. In fact, even without being a professional, you convey more calmness and compassion than some who are. Who knows, someday you could be a Reiki Master in your own right. I would honestly consider it at some point down the line. I just know that the majority of people say you can only honestly learn reiki in person, and there's no one nearby me offering courses or training sessions. I do think I'll do a little personal studying on the matter over the next few months though!

I think there's definitely a healing element to the relaxation it provides. If intense stress and anxiety can physically tear your body up, it stands to reason that focused relaxation can have the opposite effect.
I always say I don't "believe" in reiki, but I do believe that you get out of life what you put into it. I did a live reiki session this last summer, and I afterwards I ended up having an amazing conversation with this person who I had only said a few words to beforehand. I think just by allowing yourself to be open, and approaching with a positive and heartfelt vulnerability, it can actually do so much more than we realize!
