The Great Controversy (Opening a New Series With This Powerful Book) - Pastor Ted Wilson

- Today we begin a new series focusing on the life-changing book "The Great Controversy," which opens our eyes to events that will change the future forever. But before we get into the book, we'd like to start with a story that happened some time ago.
George Rice was the only child of George and Dorothy Rice. Born in 1933, George grew up on the family farm in Bethlehem, Connecticut. As he grew, George learned to love books. One day, as a teenager, he went up into the attic of his house and came across an old box that had belonged to his grandfather. Curiously, George opened the box and to his delight found many books! Pulling them out, he noticed the author's name-Ellen G. White. He started reading, and the more he read, the more convinced George became of their importance and truth. At the age of 15, he was baptized into the local Seventh-day Adventist Church. George shared what he had learned first with his grandmother, and then his parents, who joined the church. His aunts and uncles soon followed in baptism along with their children.
That was just the beginning of Dr. George Rice's lifelong impact on countless lives as he served as a pastor, New Testament and Greek professor, author, and friend. And Dr. Rice's experience is similar to countless others around the world who have been significantly impacted by the Bible-based, inspired writings of Ellen G. White.
The book we will focus on for the next several months is The Great Controversy by Ellen White. Knowing the vitally important messages contained there, she wrote, "I am more anxious to see a wide circulation for this book than for any others . . . for in The Great Controversy, the last message of warning to the world is given more distinctly than in any of my other books" (Colporteur Ministry, p. 127).
Although written by human hands, it was inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit. The purpose wrote Ellen White, is to "unfold the scenes of the great controversy between truth and error; to reveal the wiles of Satan, and the means by which he may be successfully resisted; to present a satisfactory solution of the great problem of evil, shedding such a light upon the origin and the final disposition of sin, as to make fully manifest the justice and benevolence of God in all His dealings with His creatures; and to show the holy, unchanging nature of His law" (GC, p. xii).
This is going to be an amazing journey as together we go through the book The Great Controversy. Ellen G. White claim is that 2Thessalonians 2 is a reference to the Papacy and therefore the *Apostle Paul was warning his flock that the Apostolic Church which he spent is entire ministry defending, was going to fall away.* And, as a result all the members of the Church Christ instituted and vowed to remain with "even unto the end of the world" should abandoned the Apostolic Church for something else. She then claims the same thing in Revelation, that the Apostle John in Rev.17 and 18 *is speaking of his own Apostolic Church that is the "Whore" and "Harlot"

Good objective! But unless Elder Wilson and the GC ensure availability of a much cheaper version of this book, we won't achieve our targets of massive circulation ... ( Question. Why not make it as affordable as The Great Hope?)

However, even at the current price, so long as His children in faith are being submissively led of His Holy Spirit, the Lord who owns everything will more than provide for sacrifice every time! He turned the sun dial back ten degrees and parted the Red Sea as well as the Jordan, etc., still specialises in effortlessly evaporating impossibilities!

Well, does it matter, as the message is the same and harmonises with the unalterable word of the only true and living God most high? The same One who is about to split that eastern sky and find precious souls unwarned -- but for the distribution of these volumes to grip the distracted minds and turn the attention to the Scriptures where the warning truths are waiting to convert and sanctify them in preparation to hail Jesus as Saviour and LORD???!!!

Abortion in our SDA hospitals. Ted Wilson supports abortion in cases of rape. Yet the bible says the children are not to be punished for the sins of the father. "thou shalt not murder" in the civil half of the commandments having to do with how we treat each other. It is absolutely permissable to support as the civil law of the land. This is not fusion of church and state, for it has nothing to do with the worship of God, but how we love each other as ourselves. The second commandment like unto the first, not the first and greatest commandment Jesus preached.
Bible also says to not reward evil with evil many times. Or in other words, two wrongs dont make a right! Why does Wilson support someones "right" to murder? This is not a matter of church and state. EGW herself promoted prohibition and antiSlavery voting and outspokenness as a church on this "political" stance concerning civil matters. Abortion is a sin right after inception. Why? Could God refuse to create satan at Gods first inception of him even though God knew what satan would become? Nope. Because God is not a murderer and cant violate freewill. Nor should anyone violate the will of defenseless children. A sacrifice to moloch
This is a matter of our leaders refusing to call sin by its right name because over 90% of NAD income alone is federal funding, not church and tithes. And it can be recended by law if our leadership were to apologize for forcing vaccines on the flock, not sparing the flock, or if they speak against abortion and ban it in our hospitals. Our institutions would close overnight. Just ask Conrad Vine. So then who can judge Ted Wislon or the leadership? Only God. But we will call sin by its right name and the church needs to be looking into not being so dependent on the federal government as SDA Pastor Conrad Vine rightfully pointed out. Now is not the time to be condemning independent ministries. I can tell you that.
The Catholic will mock us for honoring the 4th commandment above any man, while having no regard for the 6th commandment above the authority of any man. We will be called liars and it will be the same greatest argument used against early protestantism at rhe council of Trent, accussing us as fraud and dividers for power because we still honor Sunday and thus do not believe in the Word as the greatest authority but ourselves.

@@adventheraldambassador3483 we are and have been distributing these gc bk locally,just recently i ask an elder if the brethren know whats in that bk and he responded all may not know i ask him what does he know of jesuitism he said very little and such is the case with many other truths that is presented in the GC bk so am not aganist the book project but am asking can our leaders have led us down a compromising road. Jesus is the judge but he also said we shall know the truth of our leaders role too.

@@leroysmith6676 I read that book MANY times and I truly believed it and loved it. I loved EGW writings very much. Until I started researching. There are many things one could write on this topic, but I’ll tell you the most important ones where she deceived us and robbed us.
We are robbed of knowing that the atonement was finished on the cross, that Jesus bore our sins and will remember them no more. We are robbed of knowing the real Jesus. Her version of Jesus is fake, her Jesus was only human and he could’ve sinned. That’s not biblical Jesus. So if you believe in a fake Jesus that doesn’t exist, he can’t save you! Leave her writings for a year, stick to the Bible only. If it’s the same spirit as the one that inspired biblical writers than you’ll go back to her. If it’s not, you’ll be happy that God opened your eyes.
The Great Controversy is Not a Prophetic Book, it is a total fake. EGW did not have the SOP, she wasn't even an ordinary every day Prophet.

Let's read it together. It's an amazing book. I've read it over three times and plan on reading it twice a year. This book is Christ-centered. We have an advocate in heaven. May God open your eyes so that you can see the beauty of His truth.

But the reality is the contents of the GC is made up of a whole lot of books which EGW plagiarized big time.
She used to employ Secretaries to help her put the Plagiarising altogether to compile her books.
There is documented and conclusive proof of this.
