In celebration of Jarrod Fischer Green's imminent return to the classroom (now working with the really big kids in Kindergarten) after multiple years as an administrator, it seems only appropriate to share another one of our classic extremely serious musical collaborations,
Big, Bigger, Biggest is another one of Ella Jenkins' fabulous zipper songs where the word choice can be entirely in your hands or, even better, in the hands of your students. When you add that it is also an echo song, "Big, Bigger, Biggest" becomes one of those infinitely useful tunes, adaptable to any theme, or transition. Focusing on the ocean? You saw a big shark, a slow sea snail, a tired seal, etc. Time to clean up? You saw a clean room, a cleaner room, the cleanest room of all and then set a timer. When the room is clean, sing the song again as kudos for their hard work.
