Just get autobody shop to cut piece of metal pressed against tire. They can even weld it off or cut it off. They do it all the time. Will allow you to drive your car. I worked in auto restoration for decades. Simple solution. Won't damage it because it is already damaged. Wouldn't sell car because you already invested $2700 to fix turbocharger. Your car really doesn't have high mileage for today's vehicles. By selling it as is, the dealership will be making a killing unless the insurance company says it's totalled which I don't think they will do.
@jade carey agree. Happens pretty much after every accident. Some time you can move it off the tire just using a little muscle. Looking at how it was, I was surprised it needed a tow.
While in Cbus, you should check out German Village. Grab lunch at Thurmans Cafe for the Thurmanator Burger.🍔 Or dinner at Schmidt's. True authentic German food. In the same building since 1800's. Grab a book at The Book Loft. 32 rooms of book packed in an 1800's mansion. Enjoy the original brick/cobble stone streets while taking in the 1800's homes. Enjoy your stay!!
If you go to Schmidt's you need to try the cream puffs. They are the best I've ever had. Assuming they are still selling them. I haven't been there since the 90's.
The Columbus zoo is amazing. The Cincinnati zoo has the best hippo bloat in the world!! Fiona the hippo is getting ready to celebrate her sixth birthday along with her mom Bibi, her baby brother Fritz, and Tucker the new male that is Fritz's dad. If you get a chance, those are some great places to visit. Cincinnati zoo has a memorial to the passenger pigeon as well.
@@MalkaLand1996 I went shortly after Fritz was born in September, and I was so impressed with this zoo!! The hippos were putting on a show, and we went back several times during the day to see what they were up to. The whole zoo is just impressive!!!
Bald eagles male and female get a completely white head around 5 years. Females are bigger than the male. Bird Nerd here lol! Glad you are making the best of your situation. Ohio is glad you are here!! We are not going to let you leave though. Once you are in Ohio there is no looking back..lol!
Columbus does have one of the best zoos in the nation. Just trying to give you some more options for things to do in Columbus. Have a great stay here. Like I said yesterday, COSI is right downtown to check out as well. Glad to have you here with Us.
I was a little kid growing up in Columbus in the '60s, and certainly remember Flippo the Clown. For some reason I remember it being a morning show, but I guess he was on in the afternoon.
I was born in Columbus, OH, my parents still live there. It's a growing city, every time I go home to Columbus there is new construction everywhere. I've passed that museum on the freeway hundreds of times. I still call soda "pop" because I'm originally from Ohio ❤
I was traumatized by this museum, when I was a kid. They used to exhibit the skeletons of Native Americans, as dug from a ceremonial burial ground. It felt so wrong. I could only imagine my family being dug up and displayed in such a way.
Grew up there, lived there, used to volunteer at the village. :) Used to be so magical 30 plus years ago. Can't tell you how many hours I spent up in the research library there.
Glad to have you in Ohio but not under these circumstances. The good news is there A LOT worse places to be stuck here. Columbus is a pretty nice city. Hope you get it all taken care of soon.
My apartment building masks are still mandatory in common areas, and ironically the local liquor store you are also required to wear masks, you would think all that alcohol would keep COVID at bay
If you're in Columbus I highly suggest checking out the Columbus Ohio Science institute! Or Cosi as it's called shortened, it's an awesome museum that I loved to go to as a kid
Sorry you are still stuck here. If are still here tomorrow you might want to make content at COSI and the Veterans museum. They are right next to each other.
I grew up near Columbus, and YES!! used to watch Flippo the Clown when I was a child! ❤ In fact, I still have a signed black & white promotional glossy photo of him! I am 67 years old, now...
On the old TV the show they were playing was the Ozzie and Harriet Nelson TV show. There was Ricky& David sitting at the table. The boys actually grew up on the show, and as a teenager Ricky became a Teen Idol as a Rock n Roll singer.
I'm pretty sure that hockey sled is for paraplegic hockey players. We had the football and baseball games. In the football one, you had to get your bright red dot passed the opposing players into the end zone. They were fun, for the time period.
2: 37 -- I played the football game at the bottom of the screen when I was little. I didn't and don't like football, but somehow the hand-held game was fun. 😊
I looked up lawn darts and your right. They have been banned and we're responsible for three children's deaths. I never knew that. Good video. Good content all around if you really look for it.
I found this on the Ohio History Central website: "During the Mesozoic Era, when dinosaurs and other reptiles were the dominant forms of life, Ohio was above sea level as an upland land mass. Undoubtedly, dinosaurs roamed the Ohio land but erosion, rather than deposition was the dominant geologic force. Dinosaur remains that may have been entombed in lake or river sediments were destroyed during the 300 million year interval of erosion that removed huge amounts of rock. Therefore, unless an isolated deposit of Mesozoic rocks is discovered in Ohio, no dinosaur remains will ever be found in the state." I'll be darned! Stay safe my friend!
I grew up watching Flippo. He came on at 4:00 and hosted a movie. My friend the late Camodave turned me on to your channel and I'm glad he did. I hope all works out for you here in Columbus. Take care.
You really need to do a show on Castle Noel in Medina Ohio . . . for entertainment it ranks #2 on my list . . . Disneyland is #1. And you should interview the founder, Mark Klaus. And go down the big Christmas Story slide.
Some places in NY but mainly it's now just doctor's offices. The sled hockey is for the ones who physically can't use their legs. They're used in the Paralympics.
Where I live now, central Ohio, there are many fields making it rural area, there is a family of bobcats that lives near by on private property, I have a family of opossums who come to eat cat food almost every night. When I lived northwest of Springfield, we were just a few miles away from the swamp and we were often visited by a black bear. Even my dog stayed quiet when he went through! Thanks for going to the Ohio History Center, I loved it 💙 I loved Flippo, King of the Clowns! Came home from school and rushed to the tv to see what movie Flippo was showing today!
Welcome to my home state. The History Center is a great place to see. There are so many interesting places to visit while you are there. Hoping you get your car fixed soon.
Born & raised Ohioan- took me 49 yrs to escape a warmer climate in 2021! :) Of all times to be stuck in Ohio- I'd never pick January! Hope you get the car figured out and back on the road soon! (that museum used to have a nice historical village included- not sure if its still there or was closed on your visit. COSI is a cool museum in the area, too!)
Jacob you should check out Scranton PA! People are super fascinated with Scranton thanks to the hit show The Office. The Everhart Museum in Scranton has s bunch of old dead birds in glass cases too
I didn't realise until recently that I had John Glen stuff as a kid, my Mum had got me a Space Shuttle Sea Monkey tank and apparently it was to celebrate him being the Oldest Astronaut to fly and that he successfully carried a pack of Sea Monkeys with him which then later hatched back on earth. I acctually think that 50s home would be my kind of home, maybe just add a mod con or two and it's Home sweet home.
The house looks to be a Lustron Home. Lustrons are unique in that the exterior AND interior walls and built-ins are all made out of pre-fab porcelainalized metal. They are exceedingly rare and quite interesting. You can use fridge magnets over the entire house!
Cosi and ceder park are great visit. You can also visit the The Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio. It where they film the Shawshank State Prison. It is very haunted and they do ghost tours.
I realize people cannot be happy all the time. You can really tell this is weighing heavy on Jacob. Hopefully your car is fixed and luck turns in your favor! Thanks for all you do.
Fun Fact about US Presidents: More Presidents were Scorpios than any other sign! About Ohio, I'm always impressed with the fact that Ohio is one of the most populated states in the country.
I must say your recent events have made for very good content. I log in everyday to find out what happens next in the life of my favorite carpetbagger. Hang in there!

I hope you go to dayton ohio because of the boonshoft museum of discovery and the dayton air force museum, two very interesting exhibits that I think you would find amazing
Good to see you’re trying to keep your sense of humor Jacob. Sometimes when things aren’t going your way all you can do is laugh. Things will get better. Happy to see you’re finding some of what Columbus has to offer even when not under the best of circumstances. We all look forward to seeing whatever you find out in the world when you are able to move on.
My grandparents had a set of those stacking men. They did live in Ohio. The way that you stack them is by the notches in their shoulders and hands. They can balance by those off each other and make some fun shapes. Stop at a Graeter's Ice Cream, if you happen along one. I miss them.
I'm sure passenger pigeons aren't extinct. Very much rare or endangered, but I saw an article a few years ago where someone briefly caught sight of what appeared to be a live passenger pigeon.
Sorry you're having problems but visit all you can in the buckeye state. Try to get around ohio state college - might find some fun things to do around campus. Dennys is a great place to stop for lunch
Hey this is awesome thank you for choosing my suggestion and how bout that museum of science and industry next ?? Also high street has some cool finds and intriguing eaterys and shops for Jen !!!

Yess!! I hope he reads this. His car is absolutely still driveable. He can have them do that and he can get it fixed closer to home
Only thing i can think of is if it somehow got frame damage. it doesn't seem like i can see enough to determine that, but otherwise, spot on advice.
@jade carey agree. Happens pretty much after every accident. Some time you can move it off the tire just using a little muscle. Looking at how it was, I was surprised it needed a tow.
Yep…..do that and have them get hatch to latch and you are good to go !
This right here.
Didn't they tell you about the house? It's a steel prefabricated house. You could stick a magnet on any surface and it would stay, even the ceiling.
While in Cbus, you should check out German Village.
Grab lunch at Thurmans Cafe for the Thurmanator Burger.🍔

Yes, he needs to go to German village, I agree!

Go to Schmidt’s! I agree and the little German candy shop 🍭 🍫

We also learned that Ohio can trap people in it like the Bermuda triangle 😳. Good video Jakob, I hope you can break free soon.
As an Ohioan hope you’re enjoying it here but I feel like Ohio forced you to stay longer than you wanted glad you’re okay and still smiling Jacob.
At least the weather is semi mild for this time of year! lo!
Weather out here has been overall awesome for an Ohio January!
As an Ohioan myself I can confidently say it feels like we're all being forced to stay in Ohio lol
Ok the visual of Jacob going down the freeway in a soapbox! Priceless 😆
The eagle in the exhibit is a juvenile bird. Both male and female have the white heads and black body. 😃
You showed me something I didn't know and I have lived here all my life. We have a mascot?
Come visit Orrville Ohio and see the Smucker factory and the Smith Dairy plant. There’s a lot of history here
Another great Video. I love these kinds of places. Thanks Carpetbagger
Thank you so much!

Columbus is a big zoo. But if you want a high quality zoo Toledo is the best and we also have a awesome Art Museum.
Ohio loves ya buddy! So sorry you have had so many problems.
You have to checkout the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB. It’s an hour from Columbus, it’s an AWESOME museum.
The “Cigarette Dispenser” was a novelty about the Russian satellite Sputnik.
I used to play wheelchair basketball so it’s really cool to see that wheelchair basketball chair in a museum / history center

i am from dayton ohio, and i welcome you to the GREAT STATE OF OHIO
Hello from Fremont Ohio
Awesome video. Love the 50s display. Bought back some memories.
17:47 that's Build Ding. I had played with those when I was younger when I went to my Grandma's place. The memories making weird builds and making them into a V shape as far as I could come to my mind. So cool you got to see some in good condition.
