Lots to like here with this compact case! 3 140mm mm ARGB fans included in the front, along with another 3 120mm ARGB fans in the top and rear! A really nice quick access swing out TG side panel, this looks the business and doesn't cost a lot.
Great for cheap flip builds and lower end PC builds. Just beware the fans are fixed RPM so some people might not like the noise levels. Otherwise, you can't go far wrong here.

If youre into your RGB then at this price AND 6 ARGB fans then at this price its a fecking bargain....nice one Kolink. Aye the fans might not be the quietest in the world but if youre like me and wear a big set of earphones then it wont be a problem. Shame the fan chassis themselves arent white but when you think that youre more than likely slamming a black mobo in there it shouldnt be an issue. Thanks Mike and Kath ...... and Kolink ! ! !
cheers bob, i often forget about headphone users when reviewing fans and cases.
It gives me a case of retro pc build feelings 😀
Nice case for a budget build I think? Kolink cases here in the US are expensive on Amazon and Newegg. Yikes !!! Looking forward to the build in that case. Thanks for sharing Mike and Lady Kath. Take care everyone. Cheers
You and me both!
Very much a good value case indeed. As bob says with headphones on you wont notice fan noise. I assume if using older maybe used components that generate lots of heat be an ideal case. But if using newer cooler parts then dont need noisy fans and agree bare bones case be good option to offer. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath 🐈👍
yeah that is right, for the younger gamer in a bedroom, prefect, for a older professional in an office, not so good
Hi, Mike. I do like the hinged door, I wish more cases had them. But the basement is a dealbreaker for me, as they waste a lot of the space. I prefer double chassis designs as I've no doubt said more times than anyone would care to hear. LOL.
i am more inclined to go for a dual chassis design where possible or it makes sense for me to do so. I wonder if kolink might revisit that design again
I've ordered a new PC (first one in over 10 years, been using a laptop setup) and I've gone for this case!
Seems good enough for me!!
hope your build goes well
@@mikesunboxing Thanks dude
is it that noisy?
@@roideus judging by the video the noise is not that loud at all for the amount of airflow it gets it looks good.
@roideus It's not noisy at all, has great airflow with the 3x140mm fans on the front, 2x 120mm fans on top and 1x 120mm fan at the back.
I bought one similar the difference is only the front case that comes off and the name they put on the case is Montech , I took out the 140 fans and changed them with white 120 fans and on a control box to change colors etc .
You can have 2 ssds at the back but i guess many going to use m.2 on the motherboard so you can take out the 3 inch box at the bottom .
i used the 140 fans in another case as i have parts galore here for experimenting . that cost me 40 quid for the case .
not bad to be honest for a mid pc gaming rig.
montech have a really wide range of cases
It's crazy that they don't incude some form of speed control on them fans. Even cheap ones from AliExpress tend to be controllable. I real deal breaker for me. I like my PC to be practically silent at idle or low load. Thanks for the review.
Yes, true that is something of a concern
And then you have 6 addressable rgb fans included with the case at that price. Some sacrifices have to be made to fit within that budget, you know
Hey Mike, I do love that case.. and WOW it's worth it the price!! I'm right now searching for a case to build a new gaming pc and I'd choose this case. However I have a PSU EVGA NEX750B and it's cables are kinda thick. Any ideas on how to manage that? If it's a guarantee that I can put my back panel (even struggling to), I'd buy the case.
i don't know to be honest i would need to have the PSU and case and try it to give you an accurate answer for that
hello does the rgb mode that you choose from the reset button way reset every time you start the pc? or does it save and start on the same mode/color you turned it off on?
good question, i am pretty sure it remembered it unless i stated specifically otherwise in the video
The RGB seems sick for such a bargain case!. Im def considering building this! ⬇️
Case: Kolink Observatory HF Mesh [White]
CPU: Intel Core i5 14600K 3.5 GHz 44MB
GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB Dual White OC [Edit]

sounds like a great build
@@mikesunboxing Thx sir love ur channel thx for sharing!♥️🙂🙏
@@jimmybenyoucef4416 Thank you!
@@mikesunboxingWould u say that this Kolink case is better than the Montech X3 one?. I would love to see a review of that case too, if u haven't already done it of course!. Thx and cheers in advance! 🙂👍♥️
tengo el mismo gabinete y no puedo controlar las luces con el boton de reinicio de la parte superior, no sabes como podria controlarlo?
Needs more RGB..
Jokes. decent case for the price. Might get one for that erying motherboard to live in. the more fans the better when it comes to that thing.
Yeah it’s not bad for the money and the fans move a lot of air, just a little too noisy for me when filming
Hi, I have a dude. That case accept liquid refrigeration or you not recommended that situation. Also, can I use 240mm on the top. Thx for your answer and attention
should be okay but a little cramped for cables
I'm building a PC with that same case right now but for some reason, the RGB on the front fans doesn't seem to work and I'm not sure why.
is the molex or sata power connected? also press and hold the rgb button for a few seconds to switch modes
If fan noise is an issue with Molex/SATA fixed RPM fans you could always mod the cabling so that the fans run at 5V instead of 12V. Airflow will still be more than adequate and you'll get an almost noiseless system. (As long as the bearings of those fans are quiet).
7V would also be possible with non-LED fans.
yo how do you mod the cabling ?
@@venomelite2715 Take a Molex connector for example. It has one red, one yellow and two black cables connected. Cut the yellow and connect it to the red - that's 5V.
Cut both blacks, connect them with red - that's 7V.
@sharkey9 i dont have a molex tho.I have a sata cable
@@venomelite2715 For SATA just check online which is which. In general, cut the 12V line (yellow) and connect that to 5V instead (red). On the FAN's connector, not the one coming from the PSU!
No more cases for me unless it’s the case from Deepcool the interstellar
Hi Mike ,I am bout to buy this case along with ASUS TUF Gaming b550 pllus WIFI II mobo , You pointed out that there are ''all mounted screws'' on the mobo already ''straight away'' but I can see there are only 6 screws on this case while the mobo requires 9 ? Should I install another 3 for my 9 hole mobo ?
yes if they are not installed make sure to add them
Hello MIke! I have bought this case and have almost finished building my pc however, I have run into a problem, I am unable to connect the fan cables to my motherboard, none of the cables fit into the motherboard. I have bought a cable adapter from kolink which does connect to the motherboard however, not the fan cables. What should i do?

Hi ... Are there enough standoffs for Atx Boards included? Sometimes that is not the case when purchasing cheap cases.
Yes they should all be included in the parts bag
I'm about to buy this case, but I don't really know how to connect all the fans to the psu or MB. Can you explain me how to do it?
I have a case that came with 8 fans, and they all connect togheter to make a single molex connector to connect to the psu. Is this case fan connection similar?
yes it is a similar setup you can daisy chain the fans and use the ARGB connection to go to the motherboard
@mikesunboxing and what is the connector towards the psu? to check if my psu is compatible or not
Hi i was wondering if the kolink umbra software works when you get the case and plug the fans to the motherboard or do i have to buy a controller
(If i do have to buy a controller where can i find it)
the software is the motherboard software that you connect the fans to
This or the montech X3 mesh
not sure both are good choices
can you take off the hexagon pattern on the front of the case by chance ?
you could trim the plastic and remove it
@@mikesunboxing would it be easy to do it and would it affect the pc in any way ?
Hey, will the ARGB connector go in Asrock motherbaord as you mentioned it is for Gigabayte?
the ARGB connector is fine for all modern motherboards
Hey question how do you connect it to the Power Supply man or maybe i just dont have the button
there is a molex or sata plug to connect for power
Will the AsRockl RX7900XT fit in this case? (gpu is 330mm long and the case has 330mm clearance for the gpu)
going to be tight
Can i connect each fan to a fan-hub thing or do i have to use the argb thing because they are daisychained? If i dont daisychain them and plug them ad PWM into Mmy fanhub will that work?
the fans can only be used in the configuration as installed and should be considered an isolated or locked system
@@mikesunboxing But can i put the argb thing into my fan hub? and the Fan hub will Power it with SATA cable
@@fpsfrozennYo did it work?
@@venomelite2715 yea it worked
Este gabinete hace mucho ruido como la ps4? O esta normal, no hablo ingles disculpame bro porfavor me podrias ayudar en eso es que me la pienso comprar
it will make a little noise, but at least you can change the fans out if it is annoying
@@mikesunboxing pero hace mucho ruido como la ps4? O este gabinete hace menos que eso
@@matiaslopez-wj3nsMucho menos ruido. Quédate tranquilo.
Hey, can it fit a RTX2080 gaming x trio?
yes it can
I am having an issue with this case, I cant connect the fans to the motherboard and I cant figure out how to get the fans to work all together. This is my first build can anyone help??
