friendly reminder that making edits/scenarios/animations in your head and picturing them vividly is called maladaptive daydreaming it's not healthy, not at all, and people wanna make it it's own condition in the dsm5; some things maladaptive daydreaming does include (but don't limit to) forgetfulness, depersonalization, and derealization just like with dissociation, grounding techniques are very helpful for combating it. also not giving in to the impulse of doing it is also really good
