Thank-you for this! I haven't seen this show since first-run on CBS back in the 80's. I caught it whenever I could because it was one of my favorites. His opening line when he met Sandy Dennis' character on the street corner --- BOOM! The Equalizer was not a superficial cut-out, he was human with a past life and caring quality. And as for playing it ? Woodward delivered! Never a bad performance from that guy. Great series.
I just wish they could of used the same theme music and Edward Woodward in the first movie with the transfer of character to Denzel Washington that would of been cool and effective.
At 2:53 Brad Dourif gives us a taste of the Chucky cackle a couple of years before he plays the character. Then in the very next scene we get a young Jasmine Guy
Here in the U.S., only Season One was released on DVD in a box set. I believe the entire series was released on DVD in Europe! I watched this show every week with my dad, who grew up in the Bronx and was a former spy (he was in the OSS during WWII). I video taped the episodes while watching so I could delete the commercials.
thnx so much. was living in nyc at the time, was so busy, never had time to watch much of anything, but I recall really liking this when it would pop on...great acting, timeless, felt just like ny was...they took extra care with locations.
Thank you for posting this! I've been wanting to see this whole episode for so long and couldn't find it. Brad was great, as always, and Stephen McHattie was chilling. Both Brad and Stephen played memorable roles on the X-Files (my favorite show). This was quite enjoyable (except the wife was kind of horrible). Loved Brad's laugh at 2:52. :)
I do not know but stephen and brad look like brothers, stephen would be the big brother and brad the younger brother, both are good actors and both are very attractive ☺ ♥ what more can I say I'm a fan of both
love this show from 80's early 90's Edward Woodward was the best Equalizer, well of the TV show anyway !!!!!! It's a shame it's not on Amazon Prime or Netflix. So thanks for uploading the episode. Any more ??
This title sequence used to scare me as a child.. I’m hoping that those creepy men who pop out are only planning on mugging the victims, which is weird but seems like the very least the show makers were insinuating with the opening. Lit show too.
1) I want to live on the Upper West Side 2) I was going to say that they don’t make TV like this any more, but that would be unfair to Vince Gilligan, who is at least in the same league of writing as this
I am a Big FAn of Cobra Kai- YOuTube Sequel to "The Karate KId." William Zabka does a great Performance as JOhnny Lawrence. I hope they show all the episodes that Billy Zabka plays McCall's son.
Hi there, sorry I’m 9 months late to your comment but I have some of the equalizer riffs noted if they’re the same ones you’re after. I have three here they are: 1) B, A, G, G, E1, B, A, G, G - This is the main nine note riff throughout the show 2) B, A, G, G, E1, B, A, G, G - D1, E1, D1, B, D1 - a longer version of the classic nine note riff 3) B, A, G, G, E1, D1, E1, D1, B, D1 - this is a mix of the first two riff combined into one smooth riff, used throughout the first three episodes of Season 2 - It can also be played on the sharp keys too - Bb, G#, F#, F#, D#1, C#1, D#1, C#1, Bb, C#1 - this has a more softer almost melancholic tone, used in more touching scenes Hope this has helped and good luck with your ringtone 👍
@@terrortower666 I believe so. I’m working off GarageBand right now and it limits the number of keys on the screen. I’ll have to go to my sisters as she has a full piano. Thank you again 🙏
I don't know very little about Netflix or HUlu or the other Streaming Services. YOu might actually try your local LIbrary. I know the libraries in Queens and I believe the other Boroughs have the Individual Seasons of many shows on DVD. I don't know if they do this for the Equalizer. I do think the oriiginal TV SEries is much better than the Denzel Washington TV Series.
This is the Equalizer that was a hit in later 80s. The Denzel Washington movtes are fine but no explanation why he is black now. In the 2000s we have a woman as the equalizer. Why copy? Why such drastic changes to the shows format?
Hope you can get more of these on.
Wow. Haven't seen this in years! No cell phones no internet.
The good old days 😁.
Thank for the upload.
Family enjoyed life then.
The real Equalizer.
I think a great deal of us could use an Equalizer in our lives...God bless him, what a terrific actor he was. RIP Mr. Woodward.
I don't tell anyone If I had to in certain circumstances I would become a Robert McCall/Equalizer for those who have suffered gave injustices.
EQUALIZER IS BEST TV SERIES
Need more Equalizer episodes!
o feen morre...?
Love it!! Remimds me of my childhood

I loved this show back in the day!!!
I'd forgotten all about this series, then it popped into my head and here I am. Thanks for uploading.
This is my all-time favourite episode from Season 1.
Chucky really comes out at 2:51
To witness two great actors, Sandy Dennis & Edward Woodward, was absolutely fantastic!
I just wish they could of used the same theme music and Edward Woodward in the first movie with the transfer of character to Denzel Washington that would of been cool and effective.
No. Absolutely not.
Nobody played Robert McCall better than Robert Woodward!!!!!!
Edward Woodward

It would almost be worth getting into trouble, just to call him! I was so sad when I read of his passing. His light was extinguished far too soon.
You're soo right Ed was one of the best xx

Yes
I would love to be The Equalizer.
Such a great show
I used to love The Equalizer! Now Denzel has brought him back!
And Denzel really delivered!.
Did you see all the guest stars? James Gammon and a young Brad Dourif and Jasmine Guy.

Can anyone tell me what the notes are in the nine note riff that became the recurring theme in the show? I want to turn it into my ringtone

Does anyone know where I can find other complete Equalizer shows?

Searchengine the show's name, using the video setting, put time on the longest time setting too.

The wife in the show is very disrespectful. She needs to be taught how to act. She needs to be taught how to behave herself.
