That's very cool! I've never seen one of these before. I love the moving cobra! It would be cool to have a simpler version that just had the Cobra go up and down in the basket without the whistle.
For me the whistle is what sells it. But to each there own .

I remember that my aunt had a Tube TV in the 70's whose remote control operated via sound waves. It was used just to change the VHF channels (2 ... 13).
Funny that you used the word "COBRA" and not 'SNAKE'. It's the same word we use in Portuguese...
I remember the old TVs that used ultrasonic tuning rods to control the power and channels as well.
1:04 - "It's a toy, it's not supposed to work all the time and that's a good thing because it won't"... First I've ever heard of a toy that has been designed to only work occasionally.
