Joe, I have a nice 1-piece trampoline on my 16 that the previous owner installed, but as it has no pockets to store excess lines in I was looking into sewing on some myself. Is this a process you have any experience with? I bet I could figure the sewing part out decently well, but is there a specific material that works well? (aside from generic trampoline material) I suppose I'd have to sew an edge finish seam to prevent fraying as well
Yes, either trampoline material, a durable vinyl or canvas would be the choice.
How would you alter an F18 to be able sail single handed. I would like to sail more than crew is available. Max rake and two reefingpoints in the main was my idea..

You can sail it as normal in up to around 12 knots of wind - more than that, leave the jib behind.
Reefing the main will come with issues of how to lock it in position.
