As someone who is fascinated by things like the paranormal, aliens, cryptozoology, etc., I am SO glad to have found your channel! I can find so many videos as to the supposed existence of these creatures, and part of me wants it to be true to some degree, but the way you give possible explanations for this type of phenomenon is so well done & undeniable. I do think there are certain aspects of this world Science can’t explain, but I also think the vast majority of sightings stem from it either being driven into their psyches from legends & because they’re wanting to see it, misidentification of an already existing animal, or a hoax all together.

Another well done amazing researched video. I hope to see the Bigfoot one since that one will probably be much longer since there is so much info to see or maybe split into parts. I also, hope to see an idea on the trilobites surviving till now. Finally, I hope you check out the lady or could be family who sent DNA I believe on a Chuckabra animal a couple years ago I think. From watching it somewhere it resembled a wild like dog but the animal deta base couldn't figure it out. If that video was true then I would be suprised. I think you will be able to find it since some news I believe did a whole thing on it. Keep up the amazing work and maybe you could do an update video on questions or other things you didn't cover on the Yeti like you did with the Meglodan. great video, I really enjoy your content! something else to mention wrt footprints - snow around the outside will often melt just enough to make the prints appear much bigger than whatever made them. I remember seeing this on a doc about the Jersey Devil - people found tracks on a roof that looked enormous, but were later attributed to a great horned owl. I think something similar could have easily happened with supposed yeti prints.

I just found this channel and really liked the way you approached the subject. I'm a cryptid enthusiast from India. Err... I mean I like to read/hear stories about cryptids, I don't actually believe they're real. Anyway...Himalayas is the best pronounciation for westerners, tbh. Himalaya comes as a combination of two sanskrit words. Him = ice or snow, Alay = home. So basically it means a home made of ice. Which may seem weird, but for context, the mountain range is known to be the living place of quite a bunch of Hindu gods and goddesses, such as Shiva and Parvati.

I have always been fascinated with cryptozoology! It started out when I met my best friend, since at the time she had a huge interest in the loch ness monster. So, I researched loads about it but I didn’t believe it was real since there wasn’t enough evidence. We have kind of grown out of that and both declared that as a myth. Then came my yeti obsession. I watched loads of documentaries and videos on the yeti. I just needed more!! I believe that the yeti is fake, but I think it might’ve been around before humans existed since it is pretty similar to a gorilla. Perhaps it was a another species of gorilla or something that died out?
Since then, I kind of forgot about cryptozoology. I just discovered it again, and now I am absolutely fascinated with the thylacine! Your video about it was so helpful thank you!

Great sensible logical investigation into an extremely shy and elusive creature, along with all the other strange international sightings. The reason I am a believer in the existence of these types of creatures is because of the MANY sightings, reported from all over the world. The very same scenario applies to ghosts and from my many experiences of seeing many physical objects greatly moved right in front of my eyes by an invisible entity, whom I firmly believe was my deceased father. I experienced absolutely no fear, ie not a single hair stood up on my body during these visitations and before and during these spaced-out (time) visits, my father was all consuming on my mind.

As far as never running from a large predator, you can find videos all over RUclips of people running from bears, big cats, etc. You come face-to-face with a large predator, and see how well you do at not running. Sometimes tremendous fear, that results in bolting, is irresistible. There’s a good story on RUclips about a man who ran from a grizzly bear, and literally jumped off a cliff, falling into (and catching himself fast) in an large evergreen tree.

Maybe humans covered in fur like gorillas in such environments existed perhaps to adapt to the environment?Maybe they were just earrased from existence afterwards I mean we can't know for sure but it's a cool assumption which actually makes sense different humans in different environments will have different features to adapt to their environments better this makes sense in a micro evolutional point of view

The fur of primates that live in mostly hot environments (like orang-utans, chimps, or lowland gorillas) is mostly to protect them from insect bites, not for warmth. It can sometimes grow quite long, but still isn't thick enough to offer much protection against cold. This is why zoos in climates with cold winters don''t force their warm-weather primates to go into their outdoor habitats in the winter, and provide them with heated indoor enclosures; the cold can literally kill them. Mountain gorillas, which live at a much higher altitude where the temperature can sometimes fall below freezing overnight, have adapted much thicker coats as well as bigger and more robust bodies with more fat on them, to adapt to it. Our species' lack of body hair (regardless of the part of the world a human population lives in) strongly suggests that the first anatomically modern humans started out in a very warm climate where excess body hair was far more of a hindrance than a help, so probably not a jungle full of biting insects, either.

      @WHOOOSHXDOfficial Год назад +4

@@diychad7268no not at all! Yeti having white hair is a large misconception in pop culture and most yeti reports actually describe the primate being reddish haired primate that’s as tall and even larger than a human. It’s different from Bigfoot because these things are still slightly smaller and your average Sasquatch looking at witness descriptions and Yetis live in the jungle environments such as Nepal where the Himalayas are located as Sasquatch resides in the large pine forests of the USA like in Washington and Oregon. Hope this helps.

If something like Bigfoot/Sasquatch exists in North America it would be logical to assume some populations of the same species still exist in Asia, or at least existed at some point and (like later humans) some of them migrated across the Bering Strait, probably because there was still a narrow land bridge then. And they migrated for the same reason, to follow the migratory animals they ate.

The footage in this video was beautiful -- I love this part of the world. And I was so happy Rhys Darby got so much screen time in this video. He's truly an underrated legend.
I thought those footprints were bear as soon as I saw them! They didn't seem obviously ape to me in any way. Call me a genius lol. But yeah it seems like a lot of these sightings can be explained by bears or serows or other animals like that.
The crazy thing about the Himalayas is that even animals we know exist are nearly impossible to find -- like the snow leopard. I think we may never know the truth.

The gorilla is the largest known primate and it lives in an area with dense vegetation in which it can constantly consume calories in order to maintain its large size. I want to know how an even larger primate can supposedly exist in such a calorie-deficient ecosystem like the Himalayas.
Does it exclusively eat sheep or something? It would be the only primate which is exclusively carnivorous, but if so, how does a giant bipedal ape manage to catch so many agile and quick sheep and not leave loads of evidence like carcasses?
Maybe it eats the same stuff the sheep do? Wouldn't this mean they'd be more easier to spot if they're constantly browsing on whatever meager vegetation is up in those towering snowcapped peaks?
Are they solitary, like orangutans, or do they live in family units?

Something important to note is that “orang” was used to refer to pretty much all apes back in the day, and did not always refer to orangutans. For example, I believe your 1776 example is in regards to the work by Edward Tyson about Homo Sylvestris or his “Orang-utang” which was actually about a baby chimpanzee.

I have seen the yeti and can confirm he exists. When I went to Everest, I saw his shadow he tore apart the tracks of the tram we had used to ascend to our first base camp, and then as we were making our way out of the mountain, he lunged at us with his glowing red eyes. Rumor has it that he hasn't lunged at anyone since then, and that the yeti is so powerful, he shook and damaged the very foundation of the mountain itself.
I'm sure one day Disney Imagineering will fix it and get him back up and running, though.

Idk if anyone knows but there have been tons of sightings of the big guy throughout the United States so that’d would make more sense right?Another thing I noticed are the similarities the Yeti and BigFoot have publicly. The only people who know of the Yeti are monks and back then, Indians were the same with BigFoot, so that’s cool right?
