I really hope that petition gives us a new run on Gen 1. I recently started doing research on the differences between the masks used in each film, and while I expected the very original to be expensive, I was not expecting Ghostface masks in general to be hard to find. I'd very much love to own a Gen 1, as Scream '96 is one of my all time favorite horror films, whether an original or a reproduction.
That's got to be the cleanest mask I've seen, the fact that it's tagged brings it to a whole new level. Makes me wonder where this thing has been sitting throughout it's whole lifetime for it to still be tagged and in such great condition. Signed the petition aswell, I plan on saving up for a gen 1 later this year as I also plan on getting a ghostface robe made so I'd like the mask to be as accurate as possible to the original Scream. Only problem is after spending the money that these masks go for I'd be too worried to wear it, if that petition goes as planned those re-released masks would be perfect to wear without worrying about potentially damaging an actual gen 1 from wear.
I completely agree about these new masks being perfect to wear! Wearing an old school for cosplay is definitely risky, so seeing these reissued would be great! Also I agree about it being super clean, one of the nicest I’ve ever seen for sure and easily the nicest I’ve ever owned! As for where it was all those years, unfortunately I doubt We will ever know, but it has been well stored for sure!

Killer mask! But honestly, i did sign the petition, but i am gonna regret doing that if it is gonna be a limited run... I want the relaunch so that the demand for a gen 1 or 2 styled mask would fall so new fans and older fans could get one just to complete the collection of movie mask looks, i would be sad if only 1000 where made, i hate the competition to get one before everyone else so that i dont have to break bank to buy it from a scalper.. If they are to release it, it should be so that you can only buy a limited number pr adress. And not to shops charging more than they should. If we could end scalpers and people selling masks for insane prices then everyone would be much happier
I agree I would rather see them just brought back for a full year release, rather than limited numbers. At this point in time though, I feel like Funworld would only be interested in doing it if it was a limited release

Dude, that's insane you did this video bc till.this day I have the ghostface mask before the 96' movie came out. My mom bought the mask when I was younger as a Halloween costume. It's still in storage in a box with stuff from my childhood. Guess I'll be keeping this gem in storage still.

ive loved scream since i was like 5 and now that im being able to get the amounts of money to start collecting masks ive started off with devil face 25th anniversary the 3 scary movie masks eus and metallic and many more soon hopefully!
I love all of the seasons of slasher that have been released so far as well sameer! Also as for where I find them, it’s a mix of places. Facebook, eBay, Instagram, and pretty much any other sales site.
Im not sure what what kind of price you would expect it to have at a thrift store. It’s just junk to anyone beside scream collectors that’s why it was found at a thrift store for less than $2. 😆

Not what you would call a huge collector of the Scream mask as I sold off all of them except my Skeet Ulrich signed mask. The one mask I'd like to gave besides that one would be a gen 1 from Scream, or gen 2 from Scream 2. Those movies are so nostalgic for me as they were my first horror movies I watched.

I don’t know what you’re talking about I’ve asked you before where you get them after telling you I found someone on eBay trying to sell the exact same one that got stolen for over $150 and you wouldn’t tell me, only after 30 minutes I found brand-new official Easter unlimited fun world masks for $9.99 after emailing fun world and asking so WTF are you just trying to make your collection look expensive why do you tell someone to go and buy a secondhand mask off eBay when they’re so easily accessible, and for normal people that just want a decent scream mask they don’t know the difference between generations the one I had was from 2001 but I found a brand-new better one that doesn’t matter to most people and for only $9.99

I have other videos that show other gen 1’s from all angles, but the shroud doesn’t have any damage, and the chin says Fun World Div!
My thing is you'd would think these mask would be everywhere like the Michael or Jason mask. Ghostface is on the same level IMO.

They were removed on some masks, others had them tied behind the head.
