    Excellent. :)
    My automatic 05 Accord tows my trailer+motorcycle (about 700 pounds) just fine as well. Stays in torque converter lock at top gear even at 80mph (though I keep it to 65 unless the traffic's too heavy and fast for that to be safe).

      Hitch says it can only tow 200lbs toungue weight and I have a 2008 accord 2.4L automatic. I'll be towing a Vulcan classic 1500 with hard bags etc. the bike is about 850lbs and 380 on the front tire. Please give me some advice. I'm driving to take my mom on a ride, 1000k mile to get to her..... our bucket list thing between us and I really want to do it.

The reason that I ask is that when I put my two kids in the back seat the rear fender is level with the tire. Do you have some special shocks or coils in the rear? Thanks for the answer.

    Hi there, I just bought a ‘17 civic manual 2.0. Just wondering what you’re using for trailer wiring? Did you splice in a 4 point connector? It looks like it comes from the trunk. Thanks!

    • @NAUS2K
      @NAUS2K  2 года назад +2

      I use a curt Plug and plug harness on this car, it was the easiest hitch wiring install I’ve ever done, no separate power wires were needed, just plug and play with the rear taillights. Newer cars with LED taillights are a little more work though. I’d recommend checking out etrailer and buying what they recommend

    Would it hurt the car to drive it about 20 hours away with this kind of a load, there would be 1 or 2 nights where the car would have a chance to cool down)
    I want to tow a small motorcylce and trailer (about 700 pounds total) plus a full trunk up to where I go for the summers for work. Only issue is im currently driving a 2008 4.0 mustang (manual) and would rather not buy a truck. I've been considering switching to a wrx for easier winter driving, but I can only imagine a car with a turbo and 4 cylinders would have more trouble than a naturally aspirated v6 for a longer haul

    • @NAUS2K
      @NAUS2K  2 года назад

      I wouldn’t hesitate to tow long distance. If you have a manual there’s really no risk of the trans overheating so I wouldn’t worry about it

      People vastly underestimate the towing capability of passenger cars. IMO, you do not need a truck to tow unless you are towing regularly. And even if you are towing regularly, for instance with an automatic 1998 Toyota Corolla, you can get away with it as long as you drain and fill the transmission fluid every other oil change.

      I guess if i stay in the right lane on the interstate 🛣️ going 70 mph ill be okay, i wonder if my automatic transmission or suspension is gonna suffer bc of going 200 pounds over its limit?
